Chapter 36

1060 Words
ALEERA VERNIZE Figan was Gandor' place. According to Namika, Figan was located under the lake where I had first seen Ferno. No one could there, except for the dragon, unless he permitted someone. Even though it was underwater, the exact area didn't have fluid inside. While thinking of Figan, I was wondering how did the robot arrive there. If no one could enter the dragon's place, then how come that she was able to go there by herself alone? Besides, it was under the lake, how did she travel? My brain was almost to explode. This matter could not reach my intuition, especially that the old woman refused to tell me more about Figan. Was she hiding something from me? Because if not, she wasn't supposed to be hesitating on informing me of significant things that would help us in the future. But, who knew? Maybe she had a stronger reason for this. "How did you know about Figan, by the way?" I asked the old woman. "Did you once visit that place?" Namika didn't speak, as I had been expecting; thus, she stood again and went back to the room that made me follow her. She was really avoiding that topic, I could say. I stood on her bed and watched her prepare milk for me. When she walked towards me, I thought she would tell me to sleep already since morning is coming again. "Do you really want to know about Figan?" Namika asked me, to my surprise. Before speaking, I accepted first the glass of milk she handed me and drank a bit. "Yeah, but it seems like you're hiding that place from me." "Wanna know why?" I nodded. "It's because I don't want to spoil you. I'd like you to discover things by yourself. It's a training ground for you, young girl. Now, practice yourself to think wisely and see things swiftly but clearly." "So, what am gonna do? Namika looked directly at my eyes. "Tomorrow morning, you'll visit the lake again. You will witness Figan. So, you must take your rest now." After drinking the milk, I did my best to find my rest, but I could not, since I was being bothered with what the old woman had told me. Before she went out of the room, I didn't hear anything anymore from her. I didn't know why where she had been, but there was only one thing I know: I had to find out my mission for tomorrow. Before I could lose my conscience, I had a glimpse of the wall clock that was displayed on top of the door's room. Little did I know that I was this alive during three at near dawn. I just could not sleep; however, if I would be still up, my energy will be gone till the coming day, and I didn't want that. I closed my eyes again until I could feel no more, but stillness and black. When I opened my sight again, I was greeted by the poker face of Namika. Before waking up and stretching, I gave the old woman pleasantries first; however, she didn't respond and just looked at me, but this time with a scathing look. "What's wrong?" I asked her. Still sharply staring at me, Namika mouthed, "What time did you sleep?" "I don't know, but maybe three?" To my surprise, she pulled me out of the room and steered me outside with some glass of potions in her hand. I did not even have the time to bathe my face because she pushed me inside the big bubble, saying I deserved this kind of punishment for getting up late. I sat in disgrace and did not mind turning my gaze at her. Was it my fault for staying up late for the thought she had given me, and wake up also late? It was her to be blamed, but why was I the one to receive the penalty? This was so unfair. Nevertheless, ranting would not give me any good. So, I had no other choice but to follow, since I knew why I was working on this matter. "You didn't tell me enough about my" mission for today," I said, still sitting on the bubble while flying around Hades. "I haven't said anything yet, because I was expecting you to be early today. I thought you're excited about this, but I was wrong. Look at you, lazy." "Maybe it's now time for you to hear that it's because of you why I didn't have a good sleep." I released a deep sigh. "I ended up thinking with this, to the point that I couldn't find my sleep. But, okay, fine." "I guess as well it's now time for us to stop arguing, young girl. Besides, you can't defeat me. I know what's right from wrong, and I hope you also see the difference." I lifted my glance at her. "I thought we're gonna stop fighting over that thing, but why are you still rebuking me?" "I'm just teaching you a lesson. Are you now tired of me as your mentor?" I stood and hugged her. "Of course, not. I love you always, Namika. There are just times that you're getting into my nerves." I faced her again. "Now, may I know what's in this task?" From me, Namika moved her sight to the exquisite landscape. For some time, she didn't utter any word. On the other hand, I was just looking at her, still thinking of what she would say next. While waiting for her to answer, I was controlling myself from shaking. I was indeed clueless about that mission, and that was why I was nervous, that I couldn't act normally and properly. "I knew you wonder why I have these potions with me," Namika said then. "Well, these will be part of your mission for today. Still can remember Invis and Hufana leaf?" "Of course, I do." "Good." The old woman looked at me again. "You'll only be needing yourself in this task. I'd be glad if you can still remember everything about these potions." "And where am I gonna use them?" Namika handed me the potions and said, "From spying Gandor and Ferno. I bet you can do it, and that you'll come back alive." She held my palm even tighter. "Please, be alive."
