~Rissa
I was dissatisfied as I proceeded to the dining room to see the one man who had killed my Father.
He had a mischievous smile plastered on his face as he sat opposite Mother.
Mother on the other hand was quiet as she slowly munched on her breakfast.
I hated that I had to be there but she was my mother and the Alpha at that. I dared not disobey her.
“It’s good to see you once again, Carissa. You have grown to be a very beautiful lady” He smiled at me, revealing his teeth.
“What are you doing here?” I questioned, a frown on his face. “You murderer”
“Come on, do not talk to him in such a manner. He is your soon-to-be Father“ Mother cautioned.
What Father?
“Never will you be my Father because the wedding will not hold as you will not live to see that day!” I yelled and he crossed his arms, amused.
“Don’t you dare say that to him? What is your problem?!” Mother banged the table and stood up angrily.
I picked up the knife that was on the table and charged towards him.
“What the hell are you doing?” Mother questioned, fear in her eyes. I did not care what the outcome was. He had to die.
At first, he had a smile on his face as he believed I was joking but the moment he saw me walk further, he cringed in fear but it was too late as I stabbed him so hard and watched life seep out of him.
"What have you done?” Mother cried out.
“Rissa…..” Mother called out and then, I shook my head. It was all in my head.
She looked at me, her expression saying something worse as I was still standing. I wished I could have killed him but it was impossible.
“It is nice to meet you again, Carissa” He smiled and stretched his hands. I ignored the hands and walked to assume the seat by Mother.
She was displeased but I did not care. I looked away from her as I concentrated on my meal.
“I really cannot wait for us to become one. I want us to form this alliance “ He grinned, looking at Mother like the criminal that he was.
“So you could take over the pack? Our pack? You have killed my Father and are now taking his bride. Do you not have any shame?” I questioned, quite disappointed.
“Don’t you talk to my guest like that” Mother scolded. I had no choice but to keep mute.
“I did not kill Ken. He just……”
“Don’t you dare take Father's name in your mouth! “ I yelled.
“What is your problem? Where are your manners?” Mother banged the table and yelled at me?
I was beginning to lose my mind. I could not control my anger anymore.
“I have thrown it to the wind just like you threw yours when you decided to marry this traitor!” I yelled back at her but again, I was met with three deafening slaps.
“She is just a child, let her be” Marcus smiled, not leaving where he sat. I ran away quickly. I had to find a way to leave to never return.

“We leave now” Mother instructed. Minutes had rolled into days and days into weeks.
Locking up in the room had been something very difficult. Since there was no one coming to see her, Mother refused to check up on me.
She had restricted my movements even though I was always indoors. She had however come to meet me that night to remind me about her wedding which was the next day.
Everything seemed to happen so fast that it was out of control.
I let out a sigh as I got prepared to go. Running away had been unsuccessful. Mother had me monitored.
I stood at my doorpost, taking a final glance at it before walking out. I was going to miss it.
“Let’s go” Mother instructed. I had no idea of what the plan was going to be.
Would we leave the pack and never return? I frowned as I followed her almost immediately.
As usual, Mother was cold, ignoring me and not saying anything to me.
I did not want to talk to her either. I rolled my eyes as I ignored her and watched the beautiful sight of the environment.
The bridge that led us out of our pack. Mother had ensured to secure the pack with numerous soldiers to watch over the pack.
I was still surprised that Mother did not care about the safety of the pack.
She was so smart. Why was she suddenly acting this way?
After hours of journey which felt like forever, we finally arrived at the pack.
As soon as we got in, I clenched my stomach tightly as I felt a sudden burn in my stomach and I also began to have palpitations.
What was going on?
Mother looked indifferent as we arrived at the pack. Of course, there were several people, whispering words inaudible as soon as they saw us come into the pack.
I was so ashamed yet Mother had her head high like it was nothing.
I wondered how a criminal like Marcus was able to rule those people.
I had imagined the pack looking very rough and unfriendly and unaccommodating but I was shocked, to say the least.
“We are in a new pack. Things work differently here and I hope you are aware that Marcus is their leader. If you mess with him, your life would be in danger and I will not plead with them to set you free” Mother warned.
I scoffed and looked away from her. To hell with Marcus.
Finally, we arrived at the Royal house and it was also as great as ours but slightly different.
“You are welcome to our pack” The maids smiled at us and for the first time in a few days, I saw her smile.
I on the other hand maintained a frown on my face. I did not want to see their pack and I did not care if we were welcomed or not.
I didn’t want to be welcomed.
“Show me to my room” I answered almost immediately as I knew Mother would want me to go with her to see the Alpha and inform me of our presence.
“We should see the Alpha first”
Just like I had expected, Mother instructed, almost in a whisper. “I can’t promise you I would not behave rudely to him so….”
A sinister smile formed on my face. Not saying any more words, she walked away quickly with the maids.
The maids nodded and walked before me, probably leading me to my room. A gazillion thoughts crossed my mind all at the same time.
I wished the floor could open up and swallow me that very minute. I really could not wait to find my mate and leave them for good.
I would cut off every connection whatsoever and would even become her enemy as I would do anything possible within me to make sure I take our pack back even if it means being in an enmity with Mother forever.
I pushed the window open to absorb the beautiful light of the moon. It was beginning to rear its head in the sky.
Everything was fine until I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my stomach and my whole body began to shiver. What was going on with me?
I stepped out of the room quickly to see for help as I suddenly felt the pull towards a direction.
I held my stomach tight as I felt my wolf shiver within me.
“Please, stop” I pleaded to myself as I had no idea of what to do anymore. The pain was intense. Suddenly, my eyes landed on him… the one whom my wolf shivered for.
“Mate” I growled.
Wait what? Who was he?
