Shake craned to look and spotted another crewman in oil-stained coveralls crawling through a very constricted little tunnel that led from the after part of the sub. The man was struggling in the tight quarters to manipulate a folding-stock AK-47. Shake shoved his body hard against the hull trying to get away from the line of fire as the crewman triggered two wild shots. Both rounds caught the shooter’s fellow crewman full in the chest just below the sternum. The shooter was trying to shove the gun out in front of him for a better shot but Shake put a stop to that by swinging the pipe-wrench at the man’s head. The heavy end of the wrench caught the shooter just over his left eye and opened a deep gouge that promptly gushed blood. Shake scooted around to get a better angle and bashed the man
