When I’d first lost the sight in my right eye, I dreamed every night that my vision was once again whole. The next morning I’d waken, depressed, to find that nothing had changed. Since Roddy had entered my life again, the dreams came less and less, and those times when my sleep was disturbed, he was there, so warm, so solid, and so uncaring that I was no longer perfect, that I tumbled hopelessly in love with him once again.
