Chapter 24
When I pulled up, I saw a car I did not recognize in the parking space where I usually parked my car. I knew and hoped in my heart Jasmine wasn’t stupid enough to have that b***h in my house.
Walking up the driveway, I repeated, “I will not show my ass. I will not show my ass. I will not show my ass.” Jasmine was sitting with some dude I recognized from her job. She greeted me when I walked inside.
“Hey, I asked Marvin to come over and help me move some of my stuff. I am going to stay with him while I wait and see what my next move is going to be. I know you don’t want to see my face around here and I don’t want you to feel like you have to stay away,” Jasmine said in somewhat of a hushed tone. I could tell she was upset but her feelings were low on my lists of concerns.
