Though Josey felt like Valin seemed to be attracted to her, she was not going to get her hopes up. One of the things that she learned about Valin was that he was stubborn. If he decided that he was not going to mess up his relationship with the vampire king, then he would work hard to do just that. He pursued her without even having one conversation with her for three straight years, just because he decided that she would be his..
After the twins put away Josey’s dishes, they knelt and asked if Queen Sueli needed anything. “Please tell me more about the vision everyone had of me.” Josey requested.
“Adiv and I both had a dream of you walking through a meadow full of dark purple and bright green flowers.” Liv responded.
“There was a boy holding each of your hands.” Adiv paused and looked at Liv. Josey could sense that they were hesitant to say the next part of the dream.
“Continue or was that it?”
“Well there were a set of eyes and horns trying to push itself out of a hole in your back through a thick black smoke.” Liv swallowed hard. Remembering the terrifying image made bumps stand on his skin.
“That’s it. Then we woke up at the same time.” Adiv finished.
“How do you know others had dreams about me?”
“Since we are exiles we have to get our news about our country through a low level news outlet of sorts. We get as little information as possible just to keep us up to date.”
“This time we all received a brief message amongst exiles, too. The message asked if anyone dreamt of a new succubus empress and if we had encountered someone that resembled her.” Adiv said. Josey held her breath “Why would they need to know about her existence? Why would any of that matter?” She thought to herself.
“Before we responded one of the information gatherers fingered you as the new empress and that you were with child. You understand what that means, my Queen?” Liv lowered his head awaiting Josey’s response.
“No Liv. What does that mean?”
“Your first born son would be the next Emperor of Yanrana, since he is a direct descendant of a true succubus.” Liv finished.
Josey had no words. If what he said was true she may not be able to keep her son. She needed to talk to her father .
“Thank you for providing me with that information. I am going to finish reading a little before I meet with Valin.”
The twins bowed and took their posts again. Josey’s hands trembled.
“You know what they say is true. I am the first succubus to ascend from the dream realm in thousands of years. All of your children will be the strongest, smartest, and the most beautiful of them all.” Sueli said then giggled. She imagined how handsome their sons would be and also how they carry almost the same genes on their mother and father side.
“What’s so funny, Sueli?” Josey asked while Sueli’s laughter escalated. “I was thinking about how we were meant to be a part of Cofer’s family. What are the odds of falling in love with a human that is a descendant of the vampirical family your boyfriend comes from.”
Josey placed her hands over her ears. She didn’t want to hear Sueli anymore. “That’s enough Sueli.” Josey said sternly. “So when do you plan on killing Dsa. She had the nerve to name the next King of Wilshana!”
“Let’s not be rash. We will confront her with our words, not violence.” After Josey said that, Sueli grew quiet. She knew she would have to find an amicable solution to this situation. She also knew that that was not the only reason Sueli wanted her to kill Dsa.
Josey's mind was full of questions and fears. The information that the twins had laid on her was heavy. If it was true it was possible she would lose both of her children. “Cofer, what will we do?” she whispered to herself. While Cofer was a murderous vampire there was no way he would be able to fight against Yanrana whom would definitely be backed by Sambofah. It was times like this, she was angry at her father for not taking the time to tell her more about their lineage but at the same time he could not have foresaw that his daughter would be possessed by an ancestor.
Their awakening was almost like a surprise package. Once you opened it, there was no telling what you would get. While she was deep in thought time had passed, the twins lightly knocked on the library door. “My Queen, your meeting is coming up here soon. Are you okay in there?” Liv said. Josey was happy that she had such strong and reliable men to watch over her. “Come in and assist me with gathering my stuff.” She calmly said towards the door.
Once they had everything, Josey started her trip to his office. It had only been four hours since they had lunch together and Sueli missed him. Josey wasn’t sure how their week off would go but she had to take care of her body and their babies. The twins approached the guards outside of Valin’s office and stated their business. The guards lightly knocked then announced her. Josey looked at the twins and asked them to take a break and she would call for them. “Why are their guards here?” Josey said to herself. They hadn’t been there before.
She walked into the office and Valin stood up from his desk.
“Is there something going on?” Josey asked.
Valin looked curiously at her then realized why she asked, “Oh the guards? My sister and the Crowned prince of Tillium are coming. So we have increased security for their arrival. After the whole battle with Cofer and the fact that I allowed him to come to my wedding, they are nervous. I’m sure you know their history.”
“Yeah I do.” Josey grinned then took a seat on the sofa. She couldn’t blame them. The amount of c*****e he left in their history books was phenomenal.
Valin started to go over particulars of the discussion with the council. He congratulated her on getting their approval on her first big project. They went over next steps and the interview process for her team.
After they finished discussing business, Valin remembered that Josey never answered his question earlier but before he could ask, he said, “Queen Sueli, are you comfortable? “ Josey shifted left to right on the sofa. “I have my moments.” Josey said then softly laughed. Before she could talk about her discomfort the guards announced a visitor.
Valin looked at Josey and requested permission to talk to the visitor momentarily. “This is our chance.” Sueli whispered to her.
Dsa walked in the room and was thrown off balance by the sight of her Queen. “Queen Josey, how lovely to see you here. I do apologize I did not know you were meeting with his majesty.”
“That’s because Josey allowed you to interrupt our meeting. How can I help you? Did the council request your final list of names?” Valin asked.
“Yes, your majesty. “ Dsa handed Valin her list. Josey could not take her eyes off of Dsa. She wanted to rip her face off.
Valin looked up from the list and asked, “Queen Sueli, did you all decide on a name for your son?”
Josey gathered her senses. She didn’t realize how much Dsa’s presence bothered her. “We are naming our child, Amasai.”
“That’s a great name. It sounds majestic and honorable. Any suggestions for us?”
Dsa looked at him, surprised and concerned. He had dismissed her list for Josey’s opinion. “You don’t like the names I chose?”
Josey ignored Dsa’s question and responded to Valin. “I think you should name the young king, Victor Li. Wasn’t your mother’s nickname, Li {Lee}?”
Valin’s eyes grew wide. Not many knew that but he did not feel it necessary to ask how she knew. “Yes. I love it!” He turned and grabbed a pen from his desk. He wrote in the suggestion and signed off on it.
Dsa was at a loss for words. He didn’t hesitate to accept the name. Before Dsa could complain, her vampire senses alerted her to impending danger. She took a deep breath and turned towards Josey. She could see the demon energy increasing around her. She took a couple of steps backwards. Josey never took her eyes off of Dsa and said, “I am glad you like that name VALIN.”
Dsa continued to recoil. She couldn’t believe she was calling her King by his first name.
“Thanks Dsa. I will get this submitted.” Valin said, ignoring all of Dsa’s reactions.
“I will also be taking my leave. It is getting late.” She looked directly into Dsa’s eyes and mouthed, “Don’t f**k with me.” Then grinned. When she turned towards the door the guards had opened the door and the twins knelt waiting for their queen. Valin watched her tentatively and Dsa turned and watched him watch her

Low growls and hooting owls filled the night air. Cofer opened his eyes onto a small fire. Its brilliance danced and swayed in the wind.
“You are finally awake.” Daghaud said to him.
When the memory of falling and panic flooded his mind, he jumped to his feet.
“What happened?” Cofer said quickly. He looked around the campfire slowly. There were still six gargoyles. Two were asleep. The others stared back at him with tired red eyes.
“What happened, you ask? We are out of shape. Number one.” Daghaud chuckled a deep wispy laugh.
“All joking aside, we all almost died. We landed right on the edge of the swamp. We were barely able to catch you before you slipped all the way in. We got lucky. But all that touched the water did not wake up.” Daghaud looked at his younger brethren. Mataug stood up and flapped his wings, “If you had not helped me, there would be three of us asleep. For that I am truly thankful.” He bowed to Cofer, his legs still shaking from lack of sleep.
“This is a pain in the ass.” Cofer whispered. “How long was I asleep?”
“It has been a little over twenty-four hours. Are you rested enough to allow us to rest?” Daghaud said. His eyes pleading for just a moment to close.
Cofer rubbed his palms over his face. They still had at least 2 weeks to go and they were not doing well so far. He ground his teeth together and closed his eyes tightly. He felt fully recovered already.
“Yes. We are out in the open which will make it easier for me to watch over you all. But we will need to start moving again when the sun sets, if the youngins wake up. I will be by, in the shade of the trees, if you need me.” Cofer said.
Daghaud and the other three gargoyles settled in close to each other while Cofer put out the fire. Since he had his strength back, his aura alone should keep predators at bay.
He headed into the forest to pee and then to check the perimeter. The night creatures were silent. None were attempting to approach the campsite.
Cofer looked up towards the sky and sighed. He wished he could hear Josey’s voice. He leaned back against a large tree and started to massage his length.
Josey’s body danced in the darkness behind his eyelids.
[I want to hold her.]
She grabbed her breasts and called out his name.
[I want to lick her.] Pulled and massaged his length faster.
Thoughts of her salty skin after a long day in the sun, left him craving her. His breathing was heavy as he imagined her body bouncing up and down on him.
[I want to feel the warmth of her juices flowing on my lips.]
As he came, he held his length tightly and gathered the tip in between his fingers. His hand was no Josey. While he was pleasuring himself in a forest, guarding napping gargoyles, his wife and her demon were hoping to catch a glimpse of the old Valin.
