Without wasting a second, Emerald leaned over and started shaking Andrew's shoulders, trying to wake him up from his deep sleep. It took a few good shakes before he finally stirred, groaning and blinking in confusion as he looked up at her.
She couldn't help but think he looked cute when he was half-awake.
"What... what's wrong?" he mumbled, still groggy as he sat up in bed, rubbing his tired eyes.
"Andrew, we need to leave, right now," she demanded, her voice tight with fear as she scanned the huge room. "Come on, seriously, get up!"
Not really understanding what was going on, Andrew watched as she jumped out of bed and started grabbing their stuff, throwing it all into the single bag they had brought with them. She seemed to be in a hurry, but he didn't know why.
