She turned away from him, her eyes filled with a mix of anger, despair, and disgust towards these heartless individuals.
"How can you be so heartless? So devoid of empathy?" she questioned softly, almost resigned internally. "Emerald is innocent in all of this... the only mistake she made was falling for your despicable Boss in the first place."
He shrugged nonchalantly. "Just doing my job. You take care of those kids now."
