Chapter five

LINDA'S POV.

After I took the call that made me leave Sandra's house, I started reminiscing on what happened at Sandra's place.

That girl seems psychic.

Why will she tell me to choose the one that loves me rather than the one I love?”

A whole lot was going through my mind.

I opened the door of my apartment and saw my manager, Miss Mary, waiting for me on one of the couches.

“Linda, have you forgotten what you have today? I've been waiting for you for over one hour and some minutes. “

“Please, I am sorry. Just give me thirty minutes to get myself ready “

I quickly rushed inside.

“How could I have forgotten the launching show I had tonight?”

All because of that physic Sandra. She would have destroyed my modeling career.

“TUSH” was launching their brand that night and I was the face of TUSH.

I quickly freshened up, wore my clothes already prepared for this event with my stiletto heels. I love stiletto heels so much. I checked myself in the mirror, and the reflection I was seeing was what I love.

I rushed out to the living room as we were already late. My manager was happy looking at me.

“You look like an angel” she said as we left my apartment and headed to her limousine parked outside.

“Thank you ma.”

The driver drove us to the event. I wasn't expecting such a big event. The hall was already jammed. My makeup artist saw me from afar and rushed me for my makeup.

As a model, my face is always caked with makeup.

When it was time for me to perform, I was called up by the Master of the Ceremony and I performed perfectly, which made my managers so excited. My performance brought more money than they expected.

As I stepped down, I was receiving accolades and hugs from different people.

I was happy that I made it and did not allow that Psychic Sandra to destroy my modelling career.

I MET DANIELS

SANDRA'S POV.

The week flew by more quickly than I could imagine. I hate weekends because I'm always alone. No friends or family to visit or talk to. Sophia has flown with her fiancé to Paris to shop for her wedding gown. I should have gone with her but because of my new job, I was not able to go. And I wouldn't want to start taking excuses that early.

I'm not really a movie type, but I had one that I love, which is generally for kids. I was watching with my popcorn and juice to keep myself busy when I heard a knock on the door.

I rushed to the door just to see Linda standing in front of my door. She was well dressed while I was just on a bum short and hanging top.

I wondered where she was going because she looked spiffy.

“She smiled at me “

“Hey,” she said, still smiling.

I wondered what was making her smile that way.

“Sorry for disturbing you. Please my fiance came around. We have a date tonight and I want you to come with us.”

“Come with you?” I sounded skeptical. Of course, Linda had a good mind, but the problem is whether her fiancé would permit that.

As though Linda was reading my mind, she responded immediately.

“Don't bother yourself about Daniels. I have already spoken to him about you.”

“Daniels!” The name rang like a bell in my ear. I've heard this many times and not seen anybody.

Because I was bored, I agreed to go out with Linda and her fiancé.

I told Linda to come in, but she insisted she would stay with her fiancé inside the car waiting for me. I quickly looked out of the window and saw a tinted GLK car, though I could not see anybody inside, I concluded her fiancé was rich.
