Gabriel and Bastian walked up the stairs of the Temple of Lights, the central building that united the four quarters of Ahe’ey. The tribes were coming together in this venue in one hour to listen to an address from the rulers. It was a rare occasion that fuelled both anxiety and excitement amongst the people of Ahe’ey.
Gabriel was limping and still in a great deal of pain, but he climbed two steps at a time, leaning on a walking cane. He looked forward to seeing his father.
