GRIEFThe Sacred House, Ange’el All he saw was great darkness, and all he felt was a tremendous pain. Pain inhabited his heart, crushed his soul and far exceeded the discomfort of his broken body. Viviane and Sage used all their skill and love to mend his wounds; they cleansed his gashes and wrapped him in a cocoon of healing gels. He was left to rest in complete silence. Everyone, including the children, was asked to respect his privacy. Guests were discouraged and even forbidden. He woke up for short periods of time, was forced by Sage to sip some soup or juice, and then he simply closed his eyes again. His body would mend with time, but the sadness in his heart was there to stay. He had nothing more to give. He had no energy to fake a smile or to be courteous to those around him. Gabri
