THE CONFRONTATION Sky approached the gate that led to Lake Do’oras. A silver wall surrounded the lake and adjacent forest. Scout guarded the only road that led to the lake. The young warrior stood between the two large pillars that marked the end of the walls on each side of the road. “Scout!” Sky shouted. Scout bowed. “All is well, my queen.” “Viviane closed the passage; you can leave your post,” Sky said, noticing that something happening behind her was distracting Scout.
