She looked through the instructions that Gabriel had left for her in the bag and dialled Maria’s number from the landline. “Corazón, where have you been?” said the voice on the other side of the line. “Maria?” “Oh. Hi. Yes. Who is this?” “My name is Morgan. Gabriel asked me to contact you.” “Hi Morgan, I’ve been following your impressive work. Is everything all right?” “It’s best that we speak face to face. Could you meet me at The Pierre? I’m staying at Gabriel’s place.” “Sure, I’ll stop by shortly. Did you speak to any of the press at the lobby?” “No, we used the private elevator at the back.” “Great, please stay out of sight. I’m on my way.”
