The mention of her name sent an unexpected shiver down Rajveer’s spine. His heart started racing. He asked himself, Why am I feeling this?
Raj looked as if he was in some other world. He just stared at the man who was talking to him.
"Excuse me, sir, may I continue?" he asked Raj.
Raj took a deep breath and hummed in agreement.
"She is the daughter of a common shopkeeper; his name is Ashish. She is 19 years old and the topper of her school. She used to participate in dance competitions and always won the first prize. Her beauty is unbeatable, as you can see for yourself. Whoever meets her says she is not human—she is a goddess."
"So sweet," Raj complimented.
"No, no, sir. She is not that sweet. Just like she fought here in the restaurant, she has fought many people in the past. For example, once a boy made a bad comment about her. When she got to know about it, she went to his home and beat him so badly that he ended up in the hospital," the man added.
"That's not bad. It's nice in this cruel world that she can fight for justice," Raj said.
The man bowed his head and said, "That's all the receptionist told me."
Rajveer thought for a moment while observing Lavanya and ordered, "When she leaves here and is midway to her home, kidnap her."
The men around him looked shocked, and one said, "But why, sir? She hasn't done anything. Then why do you want to punish her and her family?"
"It's my matter. Just do what I asked for," Raj replied coldly.
The man bowed his head in agreement and said, "As you say." Then he left.
Here, Lavanya sat on her chair again, and her father mock-scolded her out of concern, "Don't you think you've done too much with him? What if he sends some of his friends and they start harassing you? You know that this society is not good for girls."
"Oh, Dad. Just chill. I am not a little baby girl anymore. I can handle it if anyone comes to take revenge," Lavanya replied calmly.
Her father exhaled a deep breath and started dinner with Lavanya.
By the time their dinner was over, they had made the payment and left the restaurant. They had booked a car, and when they came out of the restaurant, they found the driver standing at the gate with the car.
The driver greeted them and, seeing Lavanya's beauty, extended his hand to help her while she was getting in. She declined with a hand gesture, and the driver looked ashamed. Lavanya sat in the back seat, and Mr. Ashish sat in the front seat beside the driver.
The driver started driving while chit-chatting with Mr. Ashish. Lavanya was tired, so she fell asleep while listening to the music the driver had played.
Suddenly, during the smooth and calm drive, the driver stopped the car immediately as two or three black cars appeared in front.
From the black cars, some men came out, and seeing them, the driver opened the door and ran away, as he knew who they were.
