Frey’s POV The hospital room was suffocatingly quiet, save for the soft beeping of the monitors and the low hum of the air conditioning. Kaya lay there, unconscious, her face pale against the stark white sheets. I sat by her bedside, clutching her hand, praying for any sign that she was okay, that she would wake up. Suddenly, a faint murmur escaped her lips. "Tristan…" Her voice was barely a whisper, but it shattered the silence like a gunshot. My heart sank as her eyelids fluttered open, her wide, tear-filled eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. “Kaya?” I leaned forward, gripping her hand tighter. “Kaya, you’re awake.
