Alexander: The infirmary was too quiet for my liking, and after everything that’s been going on for the past few days, the heaviness that it threw on me was one that I didn’t like. Wolves didn’t like the unknown. Neither did I. And when it included my pack members, I sure as hell didn’t like being left in the dark. I stepped inside, looking around the room, knowing well that whatever had happened wasn’t normal. The Gamma lay slumped against pillows, sweat dripping down his temples, breathing uneven and shallow. Grace was adjusting an IV beside him, her face tight with concern. “You are going to need to rest. And try to hold your fluids. You can’t keep vomiting.” “I am trying,” he said, making my something cold settle in my gut. Gammas didn’t get sick. Not like this. Not this fast.
