It had been two days since the fairies came to warn us and so far there had been nothing else to happen. We were all expecting Arakas to strike, but he hadn't. The tension in the castle wasn't lessening. If anything, it was getting worse, and it had crossed my mind regularly that Arakas was doing this on purpose.
