Sebastian's words hung in the air like a death sentence. Alicia's heart sank. She thought they were close to getting out, but now they were surrounded. Her hands balled into fists, nails digging into her palms.
Lucas stepped forward, his eyes locked on Sebastian. "You think you've got us? You're wrong." He flexed his fingers, ready to fight.
Sebastian laughed. "Look around. There's no way out. You should've stayed out of this, Wolf King."
Isabella, standing beside Lucas, glared at Sebastian. "We're not going down without a fight. You and your 'Purifiers' are the ones in the wrong."
Rosalind, though scared, held her camera tightly. She whispered to Alicia, "What do we do? I didn't think it'd get this bad."
Alicia was thinking fast. She looked around the lobby, trying to find an escape route. "I don't know, but we can't give up."
Suddenly, one of the 'Purifiers' stepped forward. It was a young man with a scar on his face. "Sebastian, why waste time? Let's just finish them off."
Sebastian raised his hand. "Not yet. I want them to know the full extent of their failure first."
Lucas growled. "Your games won't work. We'll fight until the end."
As they were at a stand - off, a loud crash came from the side entrance. Everyone turned to look. A group of people burst in, led by a woman with a determined look on her face. It was Elena Carter, Rosalind's sister, the human rights lawyer.
Elena shouted, "Stop this madness, Sebastian! These people have done nothing wrong."
Sebastian sneered. "Elena, stay out of this. This is between the 'Purifiers' and these abominations."
Elena walked forward bravely. "There are no abominations. You're the one causing harm in the name of some twisted ideology."
Alicia was surprised. She whispered to Rosalind, "Your sister is really brave."
Rosalind nodded. "She's always fighting for what's right. I knew she'd show up."
Lucas was also taken aback. He looked at Elena. "Why are you helping us?"
Elena looked at him. "Because I believe in justice. And I know the 'Purifiers' are just a bunch of fanatics."
Sebastian was getting angry. "Elena, this is your last warning. Leave now, or you'll regret it."
Elena stood her ground. "I won't let you hurt them. And I've got people ready to expose your organization if you do anything stupid."
Sebastian hesitated. He looked at his 'Purifier' members, then back at Elena. "You think you can stop us? You're a fool."
Just then, one of the 'Purifiers' who seemed unsure of what to do took a step towards Elena. "Sebastian, maybe she's right. This doesn't feel right anymore."
Sebastian's face turned red with anger. "Traitor! You're all traitors!" He pulled out a silver - tipped dagger and lunged at the hesitant 'Purifier'.
The situation turned chaotic. The 'Purifiers' were split, some siding with Sebastian, others not sure what to do. Lucas saw an opportunity.
"Now's our chance!" he shouted.
The group - Alicia, Lucas, Isabella, Rosalind, and Elena - started to fight their way through the confused 'Purifiers'. Alicia grabbed a broken chair leg and used it to fend off an attacker.
Isabella was fast, dodging and punching. Rosalind was trying to stay out of the way but also taking pictures.
Elena, though not a fighter, was using her words to try and persuade more 'Purifiers' to stop. "You don't have to do this. There's a better way."
As they fought, Alicia noticed a door at the back of the lobby that seemed to be unguarded. She pointed it out to Lucas. "Over there! That might be our way out."
Lucas nodded. "We'll make a run for it. Everyone, follow me!"
Just as they were about to dash towards the door, a 'Purifier' managed to get past
Lucas and grabbed Alicia. "Not so fast!"
Lucas turned, his eyes blazing. "Let her go!"
Isabella quickly came to Lucas's aid. She kicked the 'Purifier' in the back, making him release Alicia.
The group finally reached the door. Lucas pushed it open, and they all rushed out.
But outside, they found themselves in a courtyard surrounded by a high wall.
There was a large, rusty gate at the end, but it was locked. Alicia looked around desperately. "Now what? We're still trapped."
Lucas was thinking. "There must be a way out. We just need to find it."
As they were looking for an escape, they heard Sebastian shouting from inside the building. "Don't let them get away! Search every corner!"
