Chapter 55I was sitting at the table with a martini I had made myself from the minibar waiting for Maria to finishing dressing. She emerged from the bedroom in a long black evening gown with black heels. She had a hand-embroidered evening wrap. It was a dark maroon background of batik silk with an embroidered garden of flowers. It was stunning. I was just at that time, taking a sip of my martini when she walked out, and the shock caused me to spill some on my new tuxedo.
