Chapter 49Jim Dempsey was sitting at his desk when John Ramsey walked in and took a seat in a chair at the front of Jim’s desk. Jim glanced up, then went back to reading a document. When he finished reading, he set the document aside, leaned back in his chair, and said, “What’s up, John.”
“I have been checking that company you asked me to look into, ah . . . Persian Rug Imports. They are very shaky. I can’t find any customers that aren’t in cyberspace. They take orders online wholesale only, and all orders ship from the Middle East. They paid taxes on two million dollars profit last year and have eight employees. To me, it looks like they are laundering money. I think your friend Warren has stumbled on to something.”
