Ila’s POV
“I want Ila to move to my pack. I need to return to my pack because I’ve been away too long,” Kane says when we made it back to my house. Leaving the hospital made me so happy, and I could tell Kane felt that way too. Despite Dr. Briony’s advice to take it easy on his shoulder, I could tell he was itching to get back to training.
I held my breath waiting for the explosion known as my brother’s bad temper. But to my surprise, he just hummed an agreement.
“I think that’s the best course of action. Hannah and I can take her to Devil’s Mountain in three weeks.” Maxwell says all businesslike.
