Kane’s POV
The wretched beeping from the machines was driving me insane. I wanted to smash the f*****g awful sound to pieces. It was somewhere on my left, but I couldn’t move. My arm was strapped tightly to my chest with something that smelled faintly of antiseptic. The lingering smell of silver turned my stomach, making me want to throw up, and my head was dangerously close to exploding from the splitting headache.
Slowly opening my eyes, I looked around the very familiar white wall room. I was back at the hospital.
“Welcome back to the land of the living.” Serena stood at the end of the bed, looking at me with a smile. “How do you feel?”
“Like shit.” I say. “Where’s Ila? Is she ok? I don’t see her...” My heart panics when I don’t see her in the room. My breaths come in quick succ
