Kane’s POV
“Take me to her.” I command, not wanting to be away from my mate for another second. “She saved me. I need to know why.”
“I will take you to her room. But rest assured, Ila will be fine after some rest.” Serena says and I follow her.
Graham grabs my forearm, preventing me from leaving. I growl as I look at him, then at his grasp on my arm. He furrows his brow and pressed his lips into a thin line. Worry and anger etched into every line of his face. “We need to talk, in private.”
“It will have to wait.” I yank myself free from his hold, but he stops me again.
“No.” The one-word response from Graham was unusual. He wasn’t usually this serious, and I’d never seen him so angry, not even in battle. Something was definitely wrong.
