I gesture for us to sit on the couch, neither of us speaking first. The uncomfortable silence threads the space between us. After a few minutes, I couldn’t take it anymore and decide to make light small talk.
“Where are all your men?” I casually ask.
Kane shifts slightly next to me. “My betas are standing guard outside, and the rest are either patrolling, training or with their new mates and their families.”
