Anticipation bubbled within Felicity as she looked forward to the night out. Despite not being of legal age for long, she relished the occasional club night. Layla often urged her to join a few friends from college, but Felicity’s eagerness matched Layla’s. And Layla’s persuasion was as compelling as her brother’s.
However, a night out in a club was a rare occurrence where James was concerned. A dark club with sticky floors and loud music wasn’t really James’ scene. So, to save arguments and awkwardness, Felicity only went out when James had plans of his own, not wanting to ditch him for her own plans.
