[Mature Content] More than a week had passed since Thanksgiving and things with Elizabeth and Daniel had regressed again after the last call. Whenever Elizabeth thought things were getting better and a small hope would start to blossom in her heart like a little flower in a cold winter day, something would always happen to ruin things and turn them to the beginning point, being only the professor and his student. And whenever Daniel would think they had a chance together, the blondie would come out to remind him that he was the perfect one for Elizabeth, not a broken almost thirty year old man who'd only ruin the life of a beautiful twenty year old woman. He was confused with himself, with her, and with what she wanted. Did she want him, or did she want her British friend? Or perhaps he was more than a friend and Daniel never had a chance at the first place? But this would mean she'd cheat on her boyfriend and she'd never do this. Or at least that's what Daniel would want to believe, she was better than this. It was the first Saturday of December, which meant open mic night. Every first Saturday of the month the owner of the bar Elizabeth worked in would bring a microphone and a guitar in her bar and every client could come and sing whichever song they'd like. Of course this came with free drinks, a lot of people and the most busy and exhausting night for her staff, which of course contained only of Elizabeth and Zed, 'cause the redhead would never agree to pay another one for something these two could do quite well. Just as planned, the bar was already full with drunk men and women, singing, laughing and living their best life while Liz and Zed were obviously living their worse. As if it wasn't bad enough, Zed rushed out of the washroom and Liz noticed he didn't have his uniform on anymore. "I have to go," he said and Liz narrowed her eyes, shocked. "What do you mean? How can I do this alone?" She didn't let him finish, panic rushing through her body in big waves. "I'm so sorry Liz, my mom's in hospital, I don't know what happened," he explained and that was enough for her to forget everything else. "Oh my God, call me as soon as you get there," she ordered and he gave her a weak smile before running outside. Okay, how was she supposed to do all this alone? She closed her eyes and tried to focus, she knew things would be alright if only she didn't panic. The first hour went by better than she had thought, but this only before the bar being full to its limits and the clients starting to get upset because their orders were getting late. "I guess someone's in a need for help," she heard the only voice that could make her whole body shiver as her eyes fell on his beautiful emerald ones watching her like she was the most beautiful creature to ever exist, and she wondered how she hadn't noticed him until then standing right in front of her. "You guessed right," she said before running her hands in her shoulder length hair out of frustration because of the mess in front of her. "Mr. Ambrose..." she mumbled, not believing she was really about to say this, "can you offer yourself to help, please?" She said to him with a begging expression, helpless and he found her big chocolate eyes even more amusing. "In one condition," he said with a cocky look that if it would be another moment she'd comment something about but she had more important things to do now. "Whatever you want," Liz rushed to say. "When this is over, you'll sing something to me. While playing guitar, of course." She frowned as the bottle of whiskey almost fell from her hands. How did he know she could sing and play guitar?! Besides, she couldn't play in front of him, that'd be so embarrassing! "I can't," she declined, shaking her head from the possibility of accepting out of desperation. "You said whatever I wanted," Daniel said while smirking. "Yes, but not this." He shrugged his shoulders with an innocent look in his face. "Okay then, a shoot of vodka for me please. And make it fast." "Ugh I hate you!" She hissed, already giving up and handing him Zed's uniform and the tray full of drinks. He chuckled satisfied before taking the tray so professionally that Liz ended up speechless. "What? I haven't been a professor or a novelist forever," Daniel said winking at her before going to give the drinks to the nearest table as she breathed deeply, forcing herself to focus on the work she had to do instead of that walking temptation right in front of her.                                       *** After around two to three hours, the bar was finally empty and Elizabeth allowed herself to sit down in the nearest chair, feeling like wanting to sleep for the next few weeks. Daniel chuckled at the view in front of him and so did she after him. "I'm waiting for my reward," he pointed out, sitting down in the chair in front of hers and only then she reminded herself she had to literally sing for him. Could this night become more embarrassing? "Can't we... negotiate a little?" She asked with an innocent smile, trying to change his mind but he was determined, there was nothing that could change his mind. "Nope," he said firmly and she already gave up, sighing, as she went to get the guitar and sat down again, gathering her confidence. She already knew what song she'd sing, it was illicit affairs by Taylor Swift, one of her favorites at the moment and admittedly, the one that reminded her the most of the man in front of her. It was almost like the song was made solely for them and even if she wanted, her mind couldn't come around another song. Her fingers started moving delicately across the strings as she started singing an unknown song for Daniel, but her smooth, soft and sad voice gave him chills around his body and he immediately caught himself wanting to run his hands through her soft cheeks and delicate lips. Daniel frowned at the choosing of the song, the lyrics felt it was directed to him even though her eyes were away most of the time. They'd fall in him in a split of second, before she'd look away again as her honey-like voice felt even sadder after singing the chorus. "And that's the thing about illicit affairs And clandestine meetings and longing stares It's born from just one single glance But it dies, and it dies, and it dies A million little times." For a fact, now that he was seeing her singing about their illicit affairs, Daniel knew there was no turning back. He knew he had feelings for her, strong feelings he couldn't replace, couldn't ignore behind his emotionless cold expression anymore. Elizabeth gave him a weak smile after watching him lost in his thoughts, before continuing with the last part of the song; "Don't call me kid, don't call me baby Look at this idiotic fool that you made me You taught me a secret language I can't speak with anyone else And you know damn well For you I would ruin myself A million little times." Before she was even able to let go of the guitar in her hands, he was already in front of her as he laid down and devoted her already parted lips, his control completely snapped after the last lines of the song. His kiss was rough and devoting, like a madman who had been starving to taste her lips and hers only. Liz tried to keep his rhythm by running her hands in his neck and hair, without even realizing how he put his hands on her waist, lifted her from the chair and placed her above a table, all happening without breaking the kiss. Even the sound of the empty glasses falling and breaking didn't interrupt their lustful bubble as he placed himself between her and she wrapped her legs around his waist, not realizing she was already moaning in his mouth at the torturing contact of his bulge in her lower half. He detached his lips from hers, only to continue devoting her chin and then her neck as she couldn't keep her hard breathing and her moans in check anymore. This was all two much, her body wasn't prepared for all this. She wanted him so much she couldn't even explain. "Elizabeth," he groaned from the depth of his throat which turned her on even more as she cried out when he bit and suck in her neck and she grabbed his hair out of pain and pleasure. One of his hands was gripping her waist while the other started unbuttoning her dress shirt as she moaned impatiently and he chuckled so softly in her skin that it sent shivers down her spine. Daniel's lips were now brushing her chest and her collarbones so softly, before travelling above her lace black bralette — that he found extremely sexy on her — and she could feel his hard breathes above her n****e to the point it started intoxicating her mind and she couldn't form any coherent thought anymore. "Oh Daniel," his name came out of her lips as a moan as she opened her eyes wide, realizing what she had just said. She had called her professor by his first name! Alright, she was making out with her professor intensely too, but this was still bad. She closed her eyes, biting her bottom lip in frustration as she probably had ruined the moment but the hot and raw lust in his eyes after hearing her moan out his name was unmistakable. "Say it again," he demanded with a voice so deep that it made her shiver again, her eyes open in surprise. "Say it!" He demanded, and that was enough for Elizabeth to snap. "Daniel, please," she cried out at his full-of-hunger-clouded-green-eyes and he already knew what she wanted as he put the bralette aside and took her n****e in his mouth, sucking it gently at first and harder at second, while his hand pinching and playing with her other n****e at the same time. "Oh God, Daniel," she continued, "please," not knowing what she was begging about. "What is it, love?" He asked teasingly before his other hand travel up and down in her inner thigh, stopping and pressuring where she was begging to it stop as her eyes rolled down her head and she pressed her legs together to create more friction. He chuckled at her attempts to find release but this was all interrupted by a disturbing sound of a cellphone, which they soon ended up realizing it was Elizabeth's, in her jeans' back pocket. She was able to register the name appearing in the screen before his lips had traveled in her ear. "Don't get it," he whispered and the temptation to do as he said doubled but she tried to reason this through. "I have to," she answered softly. Realization hit in his head as he stopped kissing her neck and she already started craving for him. "If it's Alex Smith I swear to God—" "It's Mia, she's probably worried," she explained in a hurry before opening the phone but that was enough to make him return where he had left, besides her weak attempts to push him away so she wouldn't embarrass herself by moaning while speaking with her friend. "H-hey Mia," her voice sounded completely trembling and foreign to her ears as he started chuckling in her skin, satisfied at the effect he had on her. "Is something wrong?" Mia asked, worried as Liz tried to breathe so she could regain the strength to talk normally but the small kisses on her skin were saying otherwise. "N-no, everything's alright." "It's almost midnight, what are you still doing there?" She continued. "Do you want us to pick you up?" "No no it's okay, I'm... I'm coming with Zed," was the first lie that came in her mind, but it looked convincing to Mia as she only told her they'd wait for her and closed it. "What were you doing?" She tried to sound mad but while she wrapped her arms in his neck again, that didn't seem convincing at all. He brushed his lips in hers teasingly as she tried to regain control, failing for the hundredth time already. "Punishing you for answering it," he whispered and she chuckled softly, before he kissed her gently and sucked in her bottom lip making her go crazy in need again. "We should stop," she pointed out, not making an attempt to do what she said. "I know," he continued before separating his lips from hers, brushing her hair behind her ear and leaving a soft kiss in her cheek. "If we don't stop now, there's no turning back," he whispered in her ear before forcing some distance between them as her body already felt cold from not feeling him near her anymore. They started adjusting the bar in silence, keeping the distance between them as if they'd touch accidentally and their control would snap again. Even the road to the dorm rooms was dangerously silent, her eyes out of the window and his in the road in front of him. He stopped the car when they reached the destination and she sighed, gaining the strength to say what she was processing in her head for minutes now. "We can't do this anymore." He gave her a surprised look, wondering what exactly she meant by this. Did she not want him even after this? This couldn't be possible, her body told him otherwise. "It isn't right," she added after seeing the confusion in his face. "This is too risky, we can't ruin each other's life because of some stupid attraction." Daniel couldn't believe his ears, did she really mean this? "Stupid attraction? This is what it means for you?" He asked looking away so she wouldn't see the hurt in his eyes. "Then what does it mean to you?" She asked, a small hope inside her heart that wanted to hear more from him. "I couldn't say it better," he hissed, closing his eyes in frustration as she forced a smile in her face, an unknown pain making its way in her chest. She couldn't stay there anymore, she was suffocating. After wishing him a small "goodnight" she rushed outside of the car, tears making her way to her cheeks. She knew it was her fault for lying to him, but at least she knew now what she exactly meant to him.
