Chapter Four After a couple of phone calls and some brief discussion via text message, Cara, Lillian and Emilia chose Valentine’s Day to meet up, mainly because no one had anything better to do; Emilia was currently “between lovers”, Lillian was “without husband” and Cara was not only in between and without, but totally indifferent. It had been more than four years since Cara last felt a man’s breath on her face and though she had missed the feeling at first, she had not missed it for a while. Even so, there were occasional moments, like a song or a smell or a phrase she’d hear that could have come straight from his mouth, and the ground would open up beneath her feet.
