Naturally, the Press had a field day with the latest exploits of the ‘Dog Paw Gang’. There was continued speculation as to who they were, what s*x they were and how many they were – something that kept a number of TV panels and radio phone-ins busy for a while – but for the most part everyone, to a man, woman or gender indifferent, seemed rather amused by the affair. Although the motive in the case of Nicos Andreou wasn’t immediately clear, it didn’t take long for reporters to discover there was a link to a poisoned dog named Milo.
