Lazul had a strong desire to have her which made him to lose focus for a bit on the mission he was here to accomplish
He was so engrossed in watching the doxy of the general that he did not notice the approaching foot steps that sounded like an armour
He suddenly regained consciousness when the door was abruptly opened
Still hidden in the closet, a guard entered into the room rowdly which sent a surge of fear into lazul and woked the sleeping general
He looked first at the girl by the side of the general, who quickly covered herself with the bed coverings and then to the general "Sorry to disturb Sir" the guard said In a respectful tone
"But there have been an intruder" the guard announced to the general, the general face was mixed with shock and suprise 'how could this be'
"How could this happen in Sovella street of all places " the general asked, Something of such nature was extremely rare in a place like Sovella street
"In the brothel in particular, there have to be a formal searching for any remainant" the guard said as he looked around the environment of the room in suspicion
"How many assailant are there, and how many have been caught" the general asked sitting up on his bed
"One so far traced Sir" the guard answered
"Traced or caught I don't understand" he said eagerly, the girl started squirming
"What…try?" He sputtered "am feeling uncomfortable, can I use the restroom" she said in a feeble trailing voice
"Then why the asking, get the hell out and have at it would you!" He bellowed at her, then turned back to the guard "proceed, would you"
The special guard in armoured suit ever since looking around became more comfortable with the surroundings
"To the best of our info we received, a barbarian broke into the ground floor of the brothel, killed 5 generals and an escaping doxy"
"And where is the assailant now" the general asked, lazul listened closely in suprise of how intrepid the dwarf is
"He or they just disappeared without trace" the general got up from his sitting position on the bed and walked towards the closest, lazul heart began pounding like a raging pestle on a mortar
The general turned his back facing the closest "so you are saying that five reputable generals have just been killed by a barbarian and we too are not safe here?" He said with a wink of fear in his voice
"But Sir, the SS have been alerted and i think by now they would be on a chaise riding their way here"
At hearing this, lazul felt death that shook his whole body. Flowing down with slow realization of his predicament, the doxy, Linda by name came plodding down pass the closet to the bed
Knowing fully well the inevitability of his death, lazul banged open the closet, emerging from his hidden spot with a dagger in his hand
He grabbed the doxy with the other hand and held the knife to her throat "try anything foreign and I slit her throat
At this threat he held the knife closer to her neck to make his point, the fully armour guard drew out his sword
While the general blinded with fury blurted "How despicable!, holding a common doxy as hostage to slay a general?….." The general asked in contempt
"You insult me, KILL THEM BOTH!!!" he shouted with a loud voice to attract other special guards
"Please let me out!!!!" Linda pleadingly shouted feebly but the guard was already closing in to strike them both down
"Stay low!"Lazul pushed Linda into the bed and thrust towards the advancing guard but wasn't able to make a penetration as the guard was fully armoured
Lazul then thrust his full body weight at the guard with his hand hindering the already striking hand of the incoming guard
Pulling off the breast plate of the guard as his dagger pierce into the heart of the fallen guard
Lazul quickly ran down the stairs from whence the guard came
On seeing the group of guards marching up towards his direction, he ran back upstairs, opened a window, jumped on the roof and started to slide down
To his surprise the doxy followed suit "wait for me please" she called after lazul the barbarian
'what a burden to bear' he thought as he fell off the roof to the stable stack of hay, his targeted area for landing
He immediately kept to his feet, started lighting a fire when his burden fell into the stable hay like him
She dusted herself off as she stepped out of the hay stack, " there are horses aren't there?" The general doxy Linda said pointing at some set of horse tied outside the stable
"What's your name girl?" Lazul said to the general's doxy that had followed him without his permission nor invitation
"Seems like you know nothing of barbarians" he added as she let out a bit of smile on her face
"Linda they call me, fat daddy general tell me about you", she replied him as she went outside and start trying to saddle the horse in a rush
The fire he had set was now in full rage as lazul broke into a run outside of the stable, opposite where the SS warriors were supposed to arrive from
Together on the horse they went at high speed galloping on the horse as they escape the wrath of the SS officers
Then he remembers his partner Eldad that he had left behind and knew the fire he had set before leaving
"We need to turn back" he said to the doxy that was with him
"Why!!!" The doxy said with a shock on her face
Going back there was not in the best interest for her and she was also perplexed on why would this barbarian want to go back when they both know that the elite SS guards were already close to the building they had just broke out of
"Why!!!" The doxy asked again as lazul had already stopped the horse on the way
"Why are you even running away from your general…" Lazul asked without expecting any reply, "you doxies are treated as Queens I heard"
The face he saw on her was one he could recognise anywhere
'she had a terrible past that she would prefer not to talk about'
