When he got to the office Jyp was half expecting a rocket for being late but nothing happened. He didn"t bother to find out anything from Judie in view of the gulf that lay between them and instead sought out his friend Reg, after sheepishly depositing his stick behind his desk.
"All is quiet," reported Reg without being asked. "Can"t understand it, mind you. He"s been chasing us all around the block the past couple of days. "Must be that girlfriend of his. No, not Miss Julie," he forestalled the question hovering on Jyp"s lips. "That Simone piece – they"ve been on the phone like nobody"s business lately. That means he"s up to no good, you mark my words. Oh, and I"ve been asked to let you know that Miss Julie will be out of the office most of today – something to do with a visit to her so
