“Ruby?” I called out through the mind-link.
“Yes, Alpha?” the woman said wearily.
“Where is Serenity?” I asked.
“She’s sleepin’ Alpha. She passed out in the tub, but it’s OK. I got in and held on to ‘er. I didn’t know how long she orta be in there. So… We stayed in there about an hour. Now, we got the Luna layin' on the cot in the corner.” She informed me.
“Alright. Thanks, Ruby. I’ll be there after we get everything cleaned up.” I said.
“Yes, Alpha.” She said. I cut the link and began to help the rest of the pack gather the bodies of our dead. We made a separate pile for the enemy. We had to burn the bodies to ensure they stayed dead, but they weren’t coming near our own. After we had gathered all the corpses, we said a prayer and thanked them for their sacrifice to the pack.
