I stood under the spray of the icy water long after Alec had gone. What the f**k was wrong with me? I had gone from zero to sixty in a matter of seconds, and for what? Because my mate had told his family we had completed our bond? That was no reason to blow up on him the way I did. My emotions were playing parkour all over my mind.
