Zoya’s POV
It’s been 5 days since I saw Lucas. Every time I call him, he seems busy. Well even if he is busy, I Will see him tonight. It’s his birthday. Who wouldn’t like to have their girlfriend surprise them on their birthday? I bought a small cake and blue rose for him. I am going to tell him the 3 words that I have meaning to tell him for the last 3 weeks. I love him. Yes, I love Lucas Verdene.
As I walk up to his house, I notice that there is another car parked next to his. The front door is ajar, and I could hear something that sounded as if a glass broke. I rush to open the door only to find my heart breaking into millions of pieces that will never be able to put together again. My eyes burning with tears of fire as I watch Lucas half naked on top of a girl, his lips kissing her naked body.
I wanted to close my eyes, but my lids won’t budge. I wanted to leave, run out of that house as soon as I could, but my legs froze.
“Why?” It was all I could ask.
With a deep sigh Lucas walked towards me. He didn’t even bother to cover himself. Well, at least the girl had the decency to run to the next room, pulling the clothes with her.
“Because I can’t be in a relationship with a kid. Do you think life is a movie where you hold hands, kiss and hug, and then live happily ever after? This is not a movie. I have needs that I want my woman to satisfy. I have tried to make you see what I want from you. I am sorry but I can’t wait for you any longer. I don’t have the time to raise a baby and wait around to see when she will be ready to become a woman.”
Each of his words stung like a thousand needles piercing my heart. I couldn’t take it anymore. I ran out of there. I ran until my legs couldn’t run anymore. Little did I know that there was someone who had followed me from Lucas’ house. A black car drove up and stopped at my side. When the window rolled down, I saw who it was. It was Aiden, Lucas’ friend.
“Hey, what are you doing here Zoya? It’s Lucas’ birthday today. Where’s the birthday boy?” He asked with a strange smile on his face.
