Lyra’s POV Kael’s eyes stayed locked on Rook’s hand like he wanted to tear it off, and I saw the shift in his posture as he stepped forward. He looked like he had already decided what he wanted to do, and I knew that if I didn’t stop him now, he would hurt Rook without thinking about the consequences.
