Friday There was no point in hoping to get a satisfying amount of sleep, especially since Mel spent an additional hour tossing and turning in bed after returning home. Her brain didn’t know what else to do with all that unnecessary adrenaline it produced, but she still felt cheated when her alarm rang seemingly five minutes after she finally fell asleep. Mel performed all her routine morning tasks in a zombie-like state, almost tripping over Elizabeth twice, which earned her a very displeased royal stare, and only miraculously managing to not put on a shirt inside out.
