Chapter 20 (Ball-2)

Sarah 

Alec hired a whole team to get me ready for the Ball. They did my hair in lose curls, my makeup was a little on the risky side but I liked it. They even dress me in this giant navy blue ball gown with a corset bodes.

“You look beautiful little wolf”

I turn to see Alec in a Navy blue suite and white dress shirt. Wow it’s not black I guess he wanted to match with me.

“Thank you daddy. You look handsome.”

He grins “Only handsome not s*xy or panty dropping good looking”

I blush “Daddy..!” I scold him for being so inappropriate

He grabs me by my waist and pulls me closer to him. He kisses me with so much passion that I feel like I might collapse. Once he pulls away I feel breathless 

“I love you”

I freeze  d...did he just say “I love you”? He’s looking at me with so much intensity that I feel overwhelmed. My wolf is howling in excitement. He then pulls out a red box from his pocket. Once he opens it I gasp. It’s..it’s a white gold necklace with a icy blue teardrop diamond.

“I thought I was doom to walk this earth alone. I thought the moon goddess was punishing me for being a failure because I wasn’t able to protect my father and mother or sister. But then you came alone and filled my life with joy and love. You made me feel things that I never thought were possible. I love you Sarah Smith you are my everything.” 

“I love you too and I know you’ve waited for me and I’m sorry you had to spend all these years alone but never again. I’m yours and I don’t plan on going anywhere.” I confess my love to him and I see his face lights up like a Christmas Tree. He kisses me hard and possessively.

I don’t know how but he slowly broke down my walls and made me fall for him. I realize now that I trust him and I want to tell him everything. 

“Alec I have something to tell you”

He gives me a small nod “You can tell me anything little wolf”

“Tomorrow after we go for run I’ll tell you everything”

He pouts I’ve never seen him pout before, it makes him look so adorable.

“I can’t wait for tomorrow then. My lycan has been dying to see your wolf baby” 

“Mine too”

He turns me around and moves my hair to the side to place the necklace on me. He then kisses my mating mark harshly I tilt my head back to give him more access to my neck. I moan “Da..daddy” He lets out a throaty growl against my skin it send shivers down my spin. 

 “Your scent drives me crazy I can hardly control my lycan when I’m around you.” He whispered huskily 

I want him and I’m sure he can smell my arousal but I’m literally wearing a full on Cinderella Ball Gown that took 30 min to put on.

“Daddy we should go before they start looking for us” he sighs in defeat

He leads me down stairs and right before we reach the last staircase he stops.

I look up in confusion then realize their gonna announce us like in the princess movies Elizabeth likes to watch. Before I can protest I hear “ PRESENTING KING ALEC & QUEEN SARAH.!” All eyes are on us and Alec holds me by my waist and guides me to the bottom of the stairs. All I can think is I hope I don’t fall and embarrassed myself in front of everyone.

Immediately I’m engulf by a sea of strangers with praises and congratulations. I was feeling a little overwhelmed but Alec kept me calm and never left my side. 

I smile brightly as soon as I spot my sisters.

“ Our little sister is all grown up” Sam says

I roll my eyes at her always the dramatic one. She’s only a couple years older than me but she likes to act like she’s the oldest.

Sierra hugs me and says mom and dad would be proud of me. I tear up a little at the thought of my parents. I will always miss them especially when something big happens in my life and all wanna do is tell them about it. 

Alec is pulled away by Will for some Alpha business. Sam leaves with Scott to grab us some drinks and Sierra has to pee and Justin companies her to make sure she’s okay leaving me alone. I wonder around looking for Derik when I’m hit by this awful gagging smell. I see the waiter pass by with Italian stuff mushrooms usually there one of my favorite appetizers but the smell is driving me crazy. I cover my mouth and try to old back my puke. I scamper away trying to escape the smell not really looking where I’m going. I  accidentally bump into someone and I immediately apologize. Once I look up I notice it’s Izabella

“No worries Queen” she says in a mocking tone

B*tch.... I turn to leave when she holds my wrist yanking me back. I was about to attack her for even touching me when she says “ You know once he gets his fill of you he’ll go back to his old ways. I mean he’s never been the committed type. He likes verity and multiple type of women.”

I pull my hand back “Your wrong and your just jealous because he chose to be with me”

My wolf is growling at me begging me to come out but I have to remain calm especially because I don’t want to draw a crowd.

“Your young naive but if you don’t believe me then ask him yourself. Ask him what happen between him and Ruth 3 nights ago.” 

Three nights ago, that’s when I had my sleepover with my sisters. My heart is braking at the thought of him betraying me. but I won’t let her see my fall apart. I narrow my eyes at her “ I don’t believe you!” 

I prepare to walk away from her

“Then ask him... I think I saw him with Ruth near his office” she smiles coldly at me.

My wolf is reassuring me that we would know if he had s*x with someone else but still I have that small doubt that maybe something may have happen...

I sneak out of the ball room and look for my mate.

I stop when I hear Alec and Ruth arguing. I hide behind a door frame

“Alec I love you and I know you feel the same way” Ruth says

“No!”

“Yeah well that’s not what you said when you f*cked me while your mate was away”

I hear Alec growl “I told you never to mention that night again!”

I gasp and I immediately hold my mouth to muffle my crying. He’s a liar he had me fooled into believing that he actually cared about me. My wolf is trying to convince me that it can’t be true that we would feel it thru the mate bond but I push her back. I don’t wanna hear anymore lies.I have to get out of here I can’t stay with him and pretend everything’s okay. If Ruth and Izabella want him this bad than they can have him. He’s a traitor and cheater!

I start to pack me cloths into a duffel bag

I write 4 goodbye letters one to my mate, second to my sisters, third to my best friend and lastly to Elizabeth. 

But before I go there’s something I need to do. I mind link Lisa to meet me at the garden and to come alone. She’s become a good friend of mine even tho I hate her mate. Lisa is one of those people who has a kind heart and who’s selfless. 

“Luna is everything okay”

I know she can tell something wrong but I put on a fake smile

“Everything is wonderful”

She doesn’t look convince but still she smiles back and nods

“Lisa I need you to do me a favor...Close your eyes please”

“Sarah I’m confused. You must be freezing let’s go back inside”

“Lisa please just trust me” she hesitates for a moment but then closes them

I place my had on her stomach. I watch as my hands glow and I pray to the goddess this works. 

I hear Lisa gasp and she opens her eyes once I remove my hands “W...what was that?”

“Nothing, just go back inside and I’ll follow shortly”

She hugs me tightly and whispers a small thank you.
