Chapter 24 (Pregnant)

Sarah 

I’m by the lake finally I decided to leave the comfort of my room. Well the room Liam gave me. 

I can feel eyes on me but I ignore them because I know their just curious of me and the girl their Alpha has been spending all his time with. Liam has been wonderful to me and very understanding but at the end of the day he’s not my mate. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. “I miss you Alec” I whispers to myself trying not to cry. Liam had to leave for Alpha business and I decided to explore the pack lands. Liam has the biggest cottage but the pack all live around us in their own home. Somehow I ended up in this lake it’s so peaceful and I like it.

“Hi, there” I turn to see a young girl my age. She has light brown hair and big brown eyes.

“Hi” I give her a shy smile

“Sorry to disturb you but I just couldn’t help myself I wanted to meet you. I’m Amy” she says all chirpy 

“I’m Sarah”

“I know who you are the entire pack does.” She says all happy

“Oh” I say frowning

“I mean not in a creepy way but in a good way.” She says awkwardly

I nod not sure what to say

“Umm do you want to go have lunch at the pack hall?” She ask

I shift uncomfortable in my spot not sure if I’m ready to meet everyone “okay?”

She immediately chirps up “Oh My Goddess, everyone gonna be so excited”

 The whole way to the pack hall she chatted about random things. I couldn’t keep up with her nor did I wish to. I’m not use to talking so much but clearly she’s a chatter box.

She slides the big wooden barn door open and immediately all eyes went on us or should I say me. Amy just grabs my hand and leads me to a table. “This is Sarah” she tells everyone

She pushes me down to sit next to her. There’s so much food in front of us like sandwiches, salad, fries, and pasta. Amy gives me a smile and starts to pile on food on her plate. I shyly do the same.

I can feel all eyes on me but I don’t dare look up. After everyone is done eating they start to leave but before they go they put their plate in a bin. 

Amy taps my shoulder to grab my attention “I have to stay and help clean up but you can go back home.”

I shake my head “I can help”

    Amy eyes widen “No, please it’s okay.”

“Please, I would really like to.” I say

“Alpha Liam wouldn’t like that. It’s fine...plus it’s not just me.”

I frown “Amy if I want to help I can. Liam doesn’t control me nor decides anything for me”

She hesitates but then agrees to let me help. I can already see some of the women clearing the tables. Amy and I grab the bins full of dirty dishes. She leads me to the back where the kitchen is at. She washes  while I dry and neatly place them in a pile. Amy tells me that every three days it’s her tern to help out. Apparently everyone does and they rotate chores so no one feels overwhelmed. This pack is definitely small only 100 wolf’s and all purely white.

An older women comes in and smiles brightly at us “I’m gonna get started on dinner ladies.”

Amy and I both nod

We finish the dishes and suddenly I don’t feel so good. The smell in the kitchen is killing me. I run to the nearest trashcan and vomit my entire lunch. Amy holds my hair and rubs my back.

The older women hands me a napkin and I mutter a quick “thank you” and I wipe my face

“I remember when I was pregnant I was sick for two months straight. How far along are you?” The older women ask

Amy eyes widen “I didn’t know you were pregnant?”

“I..I..I’m not” I chock out

The older women gives me a complex look “You really don’t know do you?”

“I’m not” I scream out. I don’t know if I’m trying to convince her or myself. 

“I’m a midwife... I know when a women is pregnant. You have two different scents on you and one of them smells new.”

I can’t breath this has to be a mistake. I can’t be pregnant with Alec baby. I fall to my knees no longer able to stand. Amy rushes to me but I feel dizzy and my vision blurs. 

“Breath Sarah” the older women says to me but I can’t it feels like I’m drowning.

Just when I think I’m gonna pass out I feel my wolf. She comforts me and helps me relax. This is my first time feeling her in weeks. She’s protecting her pup. My wolf knew I was pregnant but she was mad at me so she didn’t tell me until she felt danger.

Once I calm down Amy hands my a water bottle and I drink it. 

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scare you” the older women says

“No, thank you for telling me. I think deep down I knew but was to scared to recognize it”

She gives me a sad smile

Then Liam and Erik walk in all angry 

“Do you have any idea how worried I was. I thought you left or something happen to you?” Liam growls out

I couldn’t help but cry it seems all I do is disappoint people. 

Liam eyes soften and he pulls me towards him and I bury my face in his chest “shhh beautiful don’t cry. I’m sorry I yelled I was just worried”

Liam lifts me up and carries me to his home. The whole way he whispers sweet nothings in my ear to calm me down. His voice is gentle and sweet

He lays me on his bed. He gets in with me and pulls the cover over us. He runs his hand thru my hair and kisses my forehead. After sometime I drift off to sleep

Liam

I wake up to the most beautiful girl in my arms. I sigh feeling content with her in my bed. I thought I was happy with just being friends but last night when she scared me half to death I realize that I want more. I never want to lose her. I just hope she’s able to give us a chance I know I can make her happy. I’ll never lie to her or cheat like her ex mate. She’ll be my everything.

I feel her stir in my arms and I know she’s waking up

Her eyes widen when she see's me “Good morning beautiful” she blushes hard. I love that I affect her.

“Morning” she murmurs shyly

I kiss her forehead “I’ll get started on breakfast while you freshen up”

I left to give her time to gather her thoughts. I know she’s confused since I’m not her mate and I’m sure she’s not over him. But my wolf and I don’t care we love her. Yes, I said it I love her I mean who wouldn’t she’s so innocent yet full of strength. She’s brave, kind, smart, and has a ridiculous hot body. She’s tiny and slim but has curves in all the right places.

“F*ck” I can feel my d**k harden at the mere thought of her body.

After sometime she comes down to the kitchen. She looks deep in thought and I can tell she’s been crying. 

“What’s wrong beautiful?” I ask coming closer to her 

She puts her head down and avoids eye contact with. I lift her chin making her look at me 

“Tell me” I say sternly.

“I...I..I’m pregnant” she whispers 

My whole body stiffness. She has tears streaming down her face but all I do is walk out. I shift mid air and run thru the forest. 

After two hours I calm down and realize I made a mistake leaving Sarah like that. I can’t be angry at her because she didn’t know of me. I want to be there for her and her pup. I’ll love it like my own and always protect Sarah. 

I walk in my home ready to beg for forgiveness and tell her how I feel but what I see is Sarah on the floor holding her chest and stomach. She’s whimpering in pain.

“Sarah” I gasp out. I examine her body but I don’t see any injuries. 

I mind link the pack doctor to come to my house immediately.

With in minutes he’s here. We move Sarah to the bed but she won’t stop screaming out in agony.

“She’s pregnant!” I tell him

“Sarah I need you to calm down or you’ll lose the baby” Doctor Erin says

“ what’s wrong with her?” I growl out. 

“Her mate is mating with someone” He takes out a syringe from his bag and injects her 

“This will help with pain and knock her out” I nod not able to speak. My wolf wants to kill Alec even now that bastard is hurting her. He never deserved her.
