Chapter 18 (I Promise)

Sarah 

It’s the day before the Ball and all Alphas will be arriving soon. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous but my wolf comforts me.

“Baby you look beautiful it almost makes me want to take you upstairs and punish you for wearing this dress without my approval” He nuzzles my neck and growls. I smirk up at him that was the point of wearing this dress. 

He’s wearing an expensive black Burberry Suit that somehow shows off his muscles. I’m wearing an off the shoulder blush pink gown with a slit on my right side that goes up to mid thigh. It has a nice tight fit that definitely shows off my DD boobs. Sam helped me pick it out and also helped with my hair and makeup.

We are currently waiting outside the pack house to greet everyone apparently it’s custom for Alphas when ever entering someone’s territory. Rows of limos start to arrive. Alec stands to his full height and puts an arm around my waist. He has a stoic expression and you can feel the wave of power coming off of him.

The first Alpha to arrive is a middle age man he’s lean a little on the short side but still has a presence of authority. He bows “King Alec it’s been a long time.” Alec just nods “This must be your mate very beautiful”  I smile “Nice to meet you my name is Sarah.” “And such an angelic voice I’m Alpha Stone and this is my Beta Ryan.”

The second Alpha to arrive is a couple very young like Sam and Scott. They bow and introduce themselves and once again Alec just has a hard expression like he’s about to snap someone’s neck.

Where only halfway thru and I’m already tired of standing and smiling. My face hurts and some Alphas we’re annoying a bunch of kiss-asses.

All day he hasn’t said a word so I’m a little startled when I hear his voice. “You tired baby” I pout and nod he chuckles. “Soon will be done and I’ll take you upstairs where I’ll tie you and have my way with you.” 

I shake my head “Food first” he gives me a devilish smile “Fine but only if your my dessert” he’s about to kiss me but the sound of someone clearing their throat stops him.

“King Alec how have you’ve been” he bows and I don’t like the way he’s looking at me. I don’t get a good feeling about him or the women standing next to him. She’s stunning with her beautiful black hair, small nose and rosy cheeks. She’s wearing a gold mini dress that shows off her body and every curve.

I can feel Alec tense and holds me tighter as if I’m gonna run away. 

“Im sure you remember my sister Izabella” he gestures to the women next to him. He then smirks at me.

The women comes closer to Alec “it’s really nice to see again Alec hopefully you won’t be to busy this weekend” she says with a French accent. My wolf is about to rip her heart out. 

Alec growls and moves away from her “I don’t think you’ve met my mate Sarah and your future Queen Luna.”

Her face goes pale and her smile fades “w..what..pl..please tell me your joking?” She says almost in tears

“No..I found my mate and it would be wise of you to remember that. I don’t tolerate disrespect!” Alec says in his Alphas voice.

The man grabs his sister and takes her inside but not before they both give me dirty looks. Did Alec have something going on with Izabella? And why didn’t he tell me? 

I pull away from him hurt that he didn’t tell me anything and made me look like a fool. I prepare to leave I’m tired of this f*cken day but before I can go Alec grabs my wrist stoping me. 

“Where are you going?” I yank my hand away 

“Away from you!”

I go upstairs to my room needing to be alone and away from everyone. I change into one of Alec sweat pants and shirt. Even tho I’m mad at him, his scent still calms me. I can feel him trying to talk to me thru the mind link but I just close him off. 

I sigh my wolf is upset as well..maybe a walk will make feel better but I have to sneak out since Alec has guards following me at all times. I grab Alec sweater and head out.

It’s her I know it is!!

“Alpha the compound his heavily guarded. If we want to see Sarah we might need to fight our way in”

“No. I don’t want her to fear us. I must approach her alone.” I say to my Beta

He nods “As you wish”

I know he’s eager to see her as well but we can’t go scaring her off especially when it looks like she cares about these mutts.

“Alpha” one of my men comes and bows “She’s on the move. We spotted her going towards the back near the guarded. She’s alone”

“This is our chance we should grab her and take her with us” my beta says 

“No I want her to come with us willingly. The plan is still the same I’ll go alone”

Once I reach the guarded I spot her she’s even more beautiful in person. She’s breathtaking I need to remind my heart to beat.

“Hello there beautiful”

She looks startled and jumps back “W...Who are you” she stammers

“Please don’t run I’m not gonna hurt you. I just wanna talk” she hesitates but then nods 

“My name is Liam and believe it or not we use to know each other.”

“What” she scrunches her nose in confusion.Goddess she’s adorable.

“I guess you might not remember me since the last time you saw me you were three. I think I’ve grown since then.”

Her eyes go wide “I..I don’t know what to say”

I smile at her “ it’s okay.. is it okay if I tell you a story.”she nods 

“Centuries ago white wolfs lived in peace. Their soul purpose in life was to worship the Mood Goddess Selene. They called themselves the Purity Pack they lived a very humble and honest life. They never got involved in politics or in wars. Their peaceful life didn’t last and they were attack and abuse forced to serve Alphas or whoever captured them. They went into hiding and the world eventually forgot they existed. Fifteen years ago my pack was attacked by an Alpha not a rogue but an Alpha seeking power. He captured the Betas wife and child. When we located her she was dead and the child was no where to be found. I believe that child was you”

Her eyes fill with tears and I move to comfort her “Beautiful please stop crying it breaks my heart to see you sad.” She sniffles

“Y..Your a w..white wolf” its a statement not a question but still I say “Yes and so are you”

“Is there more of you?” 

“Yes a whole pack of white wolfs. Beautiful I know this is a lot of information but I want to ask you something?” She nods

“Would you like to come back with us? To come home and see your family?”

“Family?” She questions

“Yes, your father and brother miss you dearly. They’ve never gave up hope in finding you and neither have I”

“I..I don’t know, I have family here sisters and a mate”

“Mate!!” I bark out

“Yes thats why I’m here at the Illumines Pack King Alec is my mate” she says softly

“No!! Their mutts you can’t possibly be serious. He’ll use you for your powers and abuse you. You can’t trust these repulsive mutts. I grab her by the shoulders and shake her. My wolf is angry and wants her to understand that if she stays her life will be in danger

“Let go of me, your hurting me?” She tries to wiggle free causing my wolf to dig his claws into her shoulder she lets out a scream. 

I immediately pull away gaining control of my wolf “I’m sorry Sarah, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I..I just want you to be safe” 

“I am safe so leave me alone” she runs back inside

“F*ck!!” How could I hurt her. I f*cked up! My stupid wolf is now whimpering. I know he didn’t mean to hurt her but he did and now she’s scared of us.  “F*ck!!!” My fingers are covered in her blood.

Alec 

Sarah looked hurt I wanted to go after her but Will convinced me to give her space. I try to contact her thru the mind link but she just shuts me out. 

After I greet the last Alpha I head upstairs with a plate full of her favorite foods.

Once I enter I don’t scent my mate I run to the bathroom and nothing. I mind link Dave if she’s with her but he says no. Did she leave me? “No!!” I won’t let her leave me. I can’t live without her even if I have to force her to stay. I was about to mind link the guards to start looking for her when she comes in crying. 

She sees me and runs into my arms. “Shh,Shh,Shh I’m here little wolf” she nuzzles her face in my neck and I run my hand thru her back in a soothing motion.

I notice that the sweater has claw marks and blood on the shoulder. Someone dared hurt my little wolf. My lycan wants to come out at the sight of our mate being injured but he can’t because he’ll scare her and right now she needs me not the beast. “Baby please tell me your okay”

She nods still sobbing “Can you tell me what happen?”

She shakes her head which I admit it’s irritating me because I want to hear her voice but I stay calm and continue to comfort her.

“Baby you must be hungry, remember I promised you food for being such a good girl”

I sit on the bed with her on my lap and feed my little mate. She calms down and happily eats her food.

After we finish I move the food to the side and sit her on her knees. She’s looking down avoiding eye contact. I sigh and lift her chin up so she’s looking at me

“You wanna tell me what happen”

“No, I’m fine it was just a misunderstanding. I wanna talk about Izabella and why didn’t you tell me you had something with her. You made me look like a fool standing there greeting one of your wh*res!”

“I didn’t think it was important it was in the past. I don’t care about any of them I only want you” I bark out

“Alec I’m not  saying I want to know about ever girl you’ve been with but I would appreciate a heads up if one of them is gonna be stopping by. So my wolf can know who to kill” she says in a teasing tone 

“I’m sorry I hurt you please forgive me”

“Only is you promise me there’s no more secrets. Promise to always tell me the truth no matter if you think it’s gonna hurt me.” 

I feel guilty for promising but I can’t lose her. I won’t allow it, what ever happen between me and Ruth that night must never come out. 

“I promise baby”
