Later that day, Daniel was distraught from Layla’s myriad of surprising revelations. Nevertheless, he resisted the temptation to allow his negative feelings to overwhelm him. In some unconscious way, he had prepared himself for any upcoming bad news after Layla appeared to be ghosting him. Previously thinking his negative thoughts were just his skeptical view on life, Daniel now knew Layla actually was ghosting him.
