CHAPTER 7: HIS SHIFT

RAINA'S P.O.V

April and May walked away with Ralph into the pack house I heard Semaj whisper in my ear, "Don't you owe me a dance Butterfly. I turned to look at him well yes I would honored to dance with you I bowel my head. We danced for two and a half songs when he took my hand leading me to the refreshments table he gave me a bottle of water. I thanked him, taking the bottle of water we walked to the pond as he sat on the bolder he pulled me to him. In sorry about today and my sister's behavior he stopped me putting a finger over my lips. He leaned in and kissed me with so much passion I melted in his arms. He broke the kiss looking into my eyes and saying, "I LOVE YOU BUTTERFLY, " Shocked at the words he said. I didn't know what to say when he said you don't have to say it back I just wanted you to know how I feel. He continued talking, saying; I didn't want to leave for training without telling you how I felt in my heart about you. I grabbed his face and kissed him leaning back I stared into his eyes smiling. Let's get back it's almost time for your shift and we walked back to the party.

ALPHA RICHARD P.O.V

Tonight is a glorious night for the Blackstone Pack tonight we welcome my son your future alpha to shift with us for the first time. My son stepped forward in his briefs kneeling to one knee as his body began to shift. We watched him as his bones broke and rearranged normally shifting takes about half an hour to an hour. After fifteen minutes my son stood tall with midnight black fur, pink tips on his ears, and a tail with a pink diamond shape patch in his chest. To say I was shocked beyond belief to see my son with elemental colors kind of scared me. I didn't understand because his first mate was a simple gray-and-white wolf, not an elemental I was confused about what I was seeing. Then we heard two screams coming from the Gamma twins, Leena and I rushed to their side with their parents Luke and Layna. Luke and Leena asked what was happening when Layna just stared into space. Their bones began to crack and everyone looked at Layna in shock and she just had a sheepish look on her face. Five minutes passed and there was a pink and sky-blue wolf in front of us. The pink wolf walked over to my son nuzzled his neck and licked his face. When they looked into each other's eyes they glowed purple uniting their wolves as one. Watching them come together and stand there with all their eyes glowing

I knew I was in the presence of royalty.
