CHAPTER 10: ACCEPTING

Standing in front of my mom and dad with fear engulfing my very being, my wolf told me to put my hand in Ricky's and then touch mom's forehead. It was like me and Ricky were transported into our mom's thoughts. We were in the pack clinic when everything sped up. The guards brought Salina into the hospital in labor. After she gave birth to her son, she held him, looking into his eyes, and their eyes glowed green, and then all hell broke loose. At that moment, time was on speed as the scenes flashed past us. While the scenes kept changing, we saw Salina put a hand up and close her fist, and then every guard dropped dead instantly. She left the room, ensuring c*****e in her wake as she went to the pack house. Salina entered the pack house and found our parents, Luna and her daughter, Elaine, in the kitchen. She told our parents it was all their fault and doing the same hand motion killing them all at once. Hearing the roar of the alpha and Deklin, Salina went to his office, killing them one by one. Moving to the beta floor, she made all the doors on their floor open, causing them to exit their rooms and offices. When they came out to see what was happening, she killed them as they appeared in the hallway. I was in the TV room with Oli, April, and May when the door flew open, and Salina, holding a baby, walked in. All my friends levitate in the air, killing April and May with a snap of her fingers. She dropped their bodies like rag dolls. Ricky, Raphael, and Semaj appeared out of nowhere, holding hands. When Raphael saw the twins on the floor, he ran to them; growling, he shifted and tried to charge at Salina when she killed him, snapping his wolf's neck. Ricky looked at Oli and turned to Salina, asking her to let him go because Oli was innocent. Salina laughed a sinister cackle and told him why he's your weakness, and you'll die because of him. She squeezed her fist, suffocating Oli until he died, causing Ricky to scream out in pain. I put a force field around us to counter her powers, and Salina attacked it with glowing power balls. I was yelling for Ricky, but he just held Oli, repeating his name as she attacked my force field; it made my wolf weaker. When she broke through it, she levitated us when Semaj asked her why she was doing this. She told him he should have thought of that when he rejected her for me snapping his neck. She put me and Ricky side by side, telling us how she never wanted siblings and how we ruined her life, and it was time for her to ruin ours. Salina's laughter was joyful at the thought of killing us when she snapped her fingers, and everything went black. Coming from our journey, Ricky was in tears, scared to death; he vanished from the room. The alpha asked what was happening when my wolf Farah spoke and told me to project the images through Oryan so everyone could see. I asked her how, and she said sit him down I put my hands on his temples. I told him to sit down. After I showed everyone what we saw, Luna was hyperventilating in tears, holding on to the alpha. Beta Author said we all should get some sleep and revisit this issue in the morning. Leaving the office, I mind-linked Ricky, asking him where he was, and he told me his room, so we went to check on him. We knocked on his door, and he answered to come in; when we entered, we saw Ricky holding Oli on his lap with his face buried in his neck. Oliver tried to get up, but Ricky held him tighter, and I told him we knew everything about them. Oli relaxed in his arms when Semaj congratulated them, smiling and asking if they were mates, and Ricky said yes. Shocking Oli, his eyes went wide, saying let's not get ahead of ourselves; only the moon goddess knows that. I asked Ricky how he felt when he snapped, no, I'm not okay; my big sister lost her mind and wants to kill everyone I love, so no, I'm not when he started to cry again. We told them goodnight and left them alone so Ricky could calm down. Semaj took me to my room, telling me his father wanted to see him before bed; kissing me, he left me at my room door. I went into my room and showered, getting dressed. I heard a knock on my door saying come in, it was Semaj. He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me, inhaling my scent. I asked him what was wrong when he looked into my eyes and told me he would protect me from any and every force trying to harm me. I saw his sincerity and nodded; he told me he'd stay until I fell asleep.
