Some new comers

The next morning everyone is quiet. Simon is already in the kitchen having her coffee. Ranveer comes out of his room: “You up?”

Simon: “You want coffee?”

Ranveer: “Sure.”

They are trying to have small talk. Things are a little awkward, yet they are sitting with each other and do not wish to leave the other out.

Ranveer: “Where is Rajveer? Is he up?”

Simon: “Yeah, he is taking bath.”

Simon hands a cup of coffee to Ranveer and fidgets with her fingers.

Ranveer: “Do I have to know something?”

Simon: “I am sorry for last night. I did not mean to disturb you and create that mess in your area. It may sound disturbing that under your power I may have made a wrongful arrest. I am sorry.”

Ranveer: “You do not have to apologize for anything. At least give yourself the leverage of being a human. Don’t be so strict on yourself.”

Simon purses her lips and nods. Rajveer comes out of the room, all dressed up, there is a big smile on his face: “Can I have coffee?”

Simon: “Here you go.” She hands him a cup.

All of them are having coffee when Ranveer asks: “What are your plans for today?”

Rajveer: “I am done with Laal and am not getting more information on Madumati from Amma so, will probably try to fide someone who can help. Also, I think I will start investigating the people of Gujrial mansion.” He looks at his people from the corner of his eyes and gives a smirk.

Simon: “Yesterday, I found out that a few things are missing from the shops on the road. These were the things that were out of the shop that day. They include a steel stick and a few tyers. Also, we found a few hair strands in the field next to the shops and there were tracks as if someone was dragged them into that field. I sent them to the forensic department to make sure that they belong to Sameen or Alia. Also, I think we have to have DNA samples of the entire village. We found three different DNAs in the blood samples we got from the village. Furthermore, the blood on Gaurav’s shop’s lock was neither of Sameen nor of Alia; hence, it belongs to one of the attackers. But it does not match with the three samples we found in the field.”

Ranveer: “This means that there were four other people at that point.”

Simon: “however, I think there is one thing that may surprise you guys. One of the guys had some relationship with Alia.”

Rajveer: “How do you know?”

Simon: “Alia’s DNA carried a part which was similar to that of the guy whose blood was on the lock. This means that the two people were carrying the same gene. It may be recessive or dominant, I do not know. Rajveer, did you notice that handkerchief yesterday?”

Rajveer: “Yeah?”

Simon: “That also had two different blood groups; however, one of them matched with the blood we found on the lock. Therefore, so far, we have five people other than Alia and Sameen and one of them had some relationship with them. Also, regarding Madumati. When I decided to join Police, I did a research on her. It was assumed that the landlord of one of the villages had an extramarital affair with her and when the day his wife found out she went missing. So, I think you guys are intelligent enough to assume something.”

Rajveer: “Based on other news, and Amma’s reaction it can be said that Mr. Gujrial can be that guy and his wife either killed Madumati or got her disappeared. And if she disappeared, it can be inferred that she is alive today.”

Ranveer: “So, the Gujrials are not clean. Simon, you are the best. I love you.”

Rajveer: “I love you too.”

Simon: “I love you two dumb guys too. I do not know what you guys would have done without me.”

Ranveer: “Based on Amma’s story, her as well as Mrs. Gujrial’s characters are conflicted. Today, I will pay a surprise visit to her house.”

Simon: “We will be able to do all these things only if we leave this house.”

Ranveer and Rajveer look at the clock and then get out of their seats as if they have seen a ghost. They grab their keys and decide to leave. While Ranveer is in the car, Simon calls out to Rajveer. He turns back and looks at her in a way which means he wants her to continue. Since they got married, Rajveer had paid attention to Simon’s every word and action. If she calls him, he stops all the stuff and looks into her eyes and gives her his full attention. His actions towards Simon and love for her have not changed even once. After the horrible incident, many people used to tell Simon that Rajveer would leave her and that it was all her fault. What happened was the result of her extrovert nature and her clothes. People used to call Rajveer poor and used to pity him. It has been a long time since they got married, yet they do not have kids. Many people advised him to marry someone else. However, Rajveer stood against all odds. He used to ask them a question that what if I was in that position or what if you were in that position? Would you still say the same things? Would you still have asked Simon to remarry? How would have you felt and behaved? Those people used to say that they were glad that they were not in the position and Rajveer would reply by saying: “and that is the reason you do not have the right to judge and say anything. If you were in that position or had experienced that, I might have considered your kind suggestions but not now.” He stood by her like a pillar and loved her like Romeo. Whenever she has nightmares, Rajveer never sleeps but in the morning acts as if nothing has happened so that she won’t feel bad. Now Simon has called him out again on the very next day of the nightmare and he is all ears to hear what she has to say.

Simon blushes for a while and then says: “I wish to have a little Raj with you if you don’t mind.”

Rajveer giggles and then asks: “What?”

Simon: “I would like to be a mom and would like to have my family. I would love to carry your kid man.”

He hugs her tight and says: “Thank you. Thank you so much, Simon. I can’t wait to have a family with you.”

Ranveer shouts from the car: “Love birds, we are getting late.”

Both of them chuckle and then sit in the car.

When they enter the station, Simon heads to the lockup and says: “You all will be presented before the court, and it will decide your fate.”

Some of them start to plead with her and ask for mercy and to not punish them for something they do not even know. Simon replies: “If it was in my hand, none of you would be standing here. All of you have been in your graves since yesterday. None of you showed mercy when talking about her and planning against her. I do not have any for you.” She then goes to her room.

In the meantime, Rishi talks to Ranveer and Rajveer and says: “There is someone in your room who wants to meet you.”

They enter Ranveer’s room together. There is a young boy sitting there. He is as handsome as some Greek God and is as tall as some NBA player. His skin is wheat coloured and is clean shaved. He has black hair and blue eyes. Anyone can fall for him.

The guy: “Hi.”

Ranveer: “Hello, who are you and why are you here?”

The guy: “I am Sime. I was supposed to get married to Alia before this tragedy happened. I was in London and was making some last-minute arrangements since I may not be able o return. That is the reason I got late.”

Rajveer: “You do not plan to go back?”

Sime: “Not unless my heart finds justice. I came here to tell you that I will fully cooperate with you in this and am ready to provide all that which is in my power to make this case a success.”

Ranveer: “We really appreciate that.”

Sime: “Sir, can I see her?”

Ranveer: “She is in the morgue and not in the condition to be seen.”

Sime: “Sir, to me she was always beautiful and the best thing that happened to me.”

Ranveer: “She won’t be able to see her.”

Sime: “I appreciate your concern sir, but I think I have the right to bid the last farewell. I will not be able to see her ever sir.”

Ranveer: “You will not be able to forget that.”

Sime: “I don’t want to forget her, and I will never forget her. I see her or I don’t, in either case, I am at a loss. I think I deserve a last goodbye.”

Rajveer and Ranveer are in the middle of the negotiation when Zain comes in shouting: “Someone has attacked Amma and she is in hospital.”
