A small letter

740 Words
Dear readers, this chapter is based on the story narrated in the last few chapters. This chapter will include the letters as were used in some previous chapters. The narration of the past event has ended and currently, Rajveer is reading another letter. There is something wrapped in a small piece of cloth. Rajveer opens it and finds that there is a piece of paper in it. Rajveer opens the letter and starts to read it. To, Dear Amma, 1984 Hello! I hope this letter makes you as happy as I am. I hope that things there are great. I hope that with the little angel in our family, the spirit of our home is returning. Rakesh told that the young one has started saying a few words and is learning to walk. I wish to see his little steps. Amma, today I am writing to tell you about the best day of my life. I am so happy that my heart is racing. My spirit is in full swing. I feel like the world revolves around me today and the sun rose only to give me light. I feel as if the birds are singing for me and there is life in everything. Everything today is making me happy and nothing annoys me. I woke up with a big smile on my face and last night I had the best sleep in my life. I know one thing, that the last night will always be the most favorite night of my life. I will never forget it and I do not want to forget it. Today I did not hiss at Baba for pulling away my comforter and for opening the curtains. Today, for the first time, I realized that pancakes are not bad. I do not know why I hated them throughout my life. Amma yesterday I met her. I entered the house after my basketball game and the house smelled like dreams: pure, fresh, delicate and fine. I went to the dining room and saw her after four years. She was wearing navy blue pants and a white sweater with an emerald brooch on it. She was sitting with such delicacy that I can not narrate. She had a smile on her face and purity in her eyes. She has changed a lot. She was holding the teacup in the same way as the queens do. When I saw her, my heart skipped a beat. I was looking at her and everything else was just a background noise which I was unable to hear. My life stopped there. I have never felt like that ever before. I thought everything, all my feelings, were just in my subconscious. There was nothing real and nothing material. That was wrong. My thoughts were wrong and I, who always had a control over his actions, lost the track of everything. I was looking at her in utter disbelief that how could someone be so beautiful. Her hazel eyes were shining and her brown hair was held in a ponytail. She was looking like a barbie, no, I think like a princess or fairy. I believe she was looking like an angel. I do not know which simile to use. I have never seen them. However, if I was to use some beauty standards, she would have been my level 100, no, more than that. She has become my standard of beauty and I do not know about any more standards now. I know one thing, from now onwards, she will be my ultimate beauty standard. I will compare everything to her and I am certain that no one will be able to compete with her. I was so mesmerized that I could not speak. I wanted to put her in my eyes for a lifetime. I do not know, how many times dad called me but I finally heard, got embarrassed and went to my bedroom. I am sorry that I am leaving this letter just in the beginning, Amma, but dad is calling me again and again. I want you to know that she is still here. I want to write a lot and want you to know everything. I will write to you as soon as I get some time. I just want to confess to you something that I never said to anyone. I love her. I will write to you in a while. Your happiest son, Vijay
