The call ended.
Amelia remained frozen, her phone still pressed against her ear.
A single sentence echoed in her mind.
“Leave Ethan before he destroys you.”
She looked up slowly.
Ethan was already watching her.
His expression darkened.
“Who was it?”
She lowered the phone.
“I don’t know.”
“What did they say?”
A long silence.
Finally, she answered.
“They told me to leave you.”
Ethan’s jaw tightened.
“Did they threaten you?”
“No.”
“They warned me.”
He walked over immediately.
Taking the phone from her, he handed it to Daniel.
“Trace the number.”
Daniel looked at the screen.
“It was routed through several encrypted servers.”
Ethan wasn’t surprised.
