Chapter 2: Perfect Match

Mia's in shocked because she never saw me date anyone. I rolled my eyes at her when i spotted her staring at us.

He worked all night after the exams.

Who is he?!?!

Stranger

Liar. Marry him!
I looked at Mia and shes laughing. Somehow im glad shes being playful because shes been crying since we got here. Kino and Mia love each other more than friends. I know that but I also know why both of them are holding it back as friendship. Both of them not ready to be in a relationship. Their priority is graduating and have a stable career. Kino and Mia are the real definition of geeks. They genuinely adore their classes and excited to be engineers.

I looked at her and her jaw dropped in disbelief.

The time went by so quickly and I managed to finish a whole series of youtube videos. Trai still enjoys my shoulder and i cant help but lean back to him so somehow my cheek seats on his head. His scent is addicting and I felt like I'm in big trouble. I like him. I do like this mysterious guy. And he might me the only mysterious guy in this world for me.
"Traisko?"
I looked up and a middle aged man confusely looked at us. I immediately read his mind and he is Traisko's dad.
"Mr. Saxon i assume?" I whisper.
He sat beside me and he seem a little embarass. He thinks I'm Trai's girlfriend.
"Are you my son's girlfriend?"
"No sir, I'm waiting for a friend whos also having a surgery. I met your wife earlier and she told me about the situation."
"Ohhhh" he is confused why would his wife tell me about their situation and why is his son leaning on my shoulder if im as good as a stranger.
"I know this is quite odd sir. Trai seem very tired so I insisted him to take a few hours to sleep and I'll watch out if theirs updates with your daughter. And i talked twice with a nurse and she said everything is doing great. She will update again in ten minutes."
Mr. Saxon thinks its still weird that a stranger is updating him about his daughter. He has a lot in mind and he started spiralling down that his daughter might not survive and his wife will fall to depression. He also started thinking of all the debts they have in the hospital and more debts for the surgery.
"Everything will be fine Mr. Saxon. I know your daughter is a strong princess."
He looked at me and smiled.
"Youre very kind to look out for my family Miss. Thank you. Your parents raise you well."
"No worries Mr. Saxon. Thank you, you have a very beautiful family and I know you all are strong enough to get pass this situation together."
Hes about to cry but he just smiled and laughed a little. He repeatedly nods and kept silent. The nurse came to me and i looked at Mr. Saxon.
"This is Mr. Saxon, Nurse Gia."
His daughter is okay, the surgery is going smoothly and theyre almost done. Its faster than they expected because the complications were not as worst as the doctors anticipated. I lightly shaked Trai's shoulder but hes sleeping really deep.
"Trai?" i whisper near his ear.
Slowly he started to lift his head and hes only a few inches away from my face. I smiled at him and he just stared at me. I have no idea what hes thinking and its driving me insane.
"The surgery is going smoothly and its theyre almost done." i cheerfully told him.
His sleepy eyes became excited and a splash of joy overflows his eyes.
"Oh my god" he whispered and I was surprised that he reached out to me an hugged me tight.
"Thank god. oh my god." he whispher lightly. I can hear his voice about to crack.
He's not letting go and i just let him hug me. He kept repositioning his arms to hug me tighter. He run his hands up and down my spine and its messing up with my breathing. It makes me weak and hugging him back is the only reaction I can do.
"Your dad is here." i whispered.
He slowly let of me and he somehow realized what he just did.
"Sorry Vera i didnt mean to-"
"Its alright, I dont mind."
Mr. Saxon looked at us and hes mood totally chanced after talking to the Nurse. He's very positive now and excited to call his wife. Trai stood up and immediately reached for his dad for a hug. It felt like both of them are at ease. Mr. Saxon asked Trai to pick up his mom and he have Trai a car key. Trai caught me looking at him. He walked to my direction and gave me his phone.
"Theres no way i'm not getting your number. If I need to kneel for you to give it to me I'll kneel-"
I rolled my eyes at him and he just laughed.
"I'll be here when you come back anyway but there you go. In case I dont see you later."
He smiled and bolted out the door. I can sense excitement but it still kills me to not know what hes thinking!!!
"Aria Vera!" Mia whispered but with emphasis and excitement.
I nerveously looked at Mr. Saxon and hes already wondering why Mia seems excited.
"Are you really going to date that guy!?!?" Mia greeted.
"Shhhhhhh!"
I immediately looked at Mr. Saxon and of course he heard! I'm drowning in embarassment! Why am I friends with this woman!?!? I silently told Mia how I met Traisko. She likes him for me and I can tell she alrwady have plans to push me to date Traisko for real.
"Mrs. Perez? Can I get you something? Coffee? Pastries?"
"I'm good dear, I just had a biscuit. Thank you for waiting with us. Dont worry, we will scold Kino for letting us ladies wait for him this long." she smiled at us.
Kino is not doing good. He lost a lot of blood and theres multiple neurologists to deal with the minor head injuries he had from the accident. I went to get another can of diet pop to keep me awake.
"Vera?"
I looked at who called me and its Traisko.
"Hows your sister?"
He cant hide his bright smile but I cant read his mind so he needs to tell me whats going on! Its killing my patience and almost looked at the Nurse to read their mind instead!
"Theyre closing her up."
I stood up and I was surprised that hes hugging me again. When he let go, I saw his mom looking at us with all smiles.
"My daughter did good, Vera." she greeted.
I reached for a hug and she started crying again. She told me how grateful she is and thanked me for being there for them even theyre complete strangers to me. Its 4am and the doctors came out for the Saxon family and it was officially successful. Traisko's baby sister is in the NICU and stable. I walked back to the waiting area and saw that Mrs. Perez is talking to Kino's surgeon. I had a sudden eye contact with Mia whos in panic. They need blood... Kino lost a lot from the accident and their blood bank is shorting at this hour. The doctors are asking for immediate donations but Mrs. Perez, Mr. Perez and Kino's sister are not a match. Mia is panicking and offered her own blood but shes not a match either. I'm also not a type B negative nor a O negative. I pretended to look at my phone like I seen a message.
"Uhm, sorry. Excuse me Mr, Mrs. Saxon, Trai. Seems like they need blood donors, O or B negative."
Trai looked at me and grabbed my arm when i started to walk away.
"I'll donate."
I looked at him confused and trying to read his mind but obviously i cant.
"I'm a match." he smiled.
