Andron and Iris walked together, up the spiraling steps of the staircase. Volck was now walking two steps higher, in front of them. The staircase itself seemed to be endless, and they made frequent turns as they ascended up.
As they walked, Andron swept his gaze all around the surrounding, and marveled at the stunning construction of the cylindrical staircase they were climbing. The steps beneath their feet, alongside the curved walls all around them, were all bright white in color.
Volck then finally walked up, past the last step, onto the floor above. He now opened out onto a long corridor that stretched straight, towards a massive window at the far end of the floor.
