Iris could now see the bright light appearing high above her as she pounced from side to side, climbing the uneven wall inside the dark mountain. The access way from the Underworld to the Earthian surface above was through the vents of the volcanic mountain ranges that lay hidden deep in the vastness of the Northern Forest.
Iris had morphed her fingers into claws and she now grabbed tightly onto the rocks inside the mountain, jumping from this side of the wall to the other side as she ascended up the dark vent. The air inside the heart of the mountain smelt like smoke and she could feel the skin on her face sweating due to the extreme heat inside the vent.
