Convincing the altered and psychologically barraged David to be giving of himself is easy. It is the shy and naive Katombo that requires more of Macumba’s efforts. Yet, at an impressionable age and with youthful libido, Macumba finds that in time Katombo learns without reluctance to collect his special reward for a hard days work. And Macumba soon realizes that more and more work is being performed with Katombo stopping by the plantation thrice weekly.
