North Korea

571 Words
In the year 2023, the world was hit by an unprecedented crisis- a deadly virus that turned people into flesh-eating zombies, spreading rapidly across the globe. One country that managed to survive the apocalypse was North Korea. Led by the infamous Kim Jong Un, the country was successful in stopping the zombie outbreak at its borders, using a combination of old tanks like T-55 tank and a wide array of weapons. As the world descended into chaos, the Korean People's Army stood tall, determined to safeguard their land against the apocalypse that was breaking out at their borders. The first signs of the outbreak were reported in the DMZ (demilitarized zone) that separated the North and the South. The zombie virus had spread rapidly through the southern part of the peninsula, turning the entire population into zombies within a matter of days. The North, however, was well prepared. They had anticipated the outbreak and had stockpiled weapons and ammunition, knowing that they would soon need them. They had also sealed off their borders, preventing anyone from entering their country. The army, led by General Pak Yong-sik, was ready for anything that was coming their way. The first wave of zombies was relatively easy to deal with. The North Koreans had understood that the virus was spreading through bites and scratches, and hence ensured that their soldiers were covered head-to-toe in protective gear. They used snipers to take out the zombies from a distance, using high-powered rifles that withstood even the toughest of zombies. They also used automatic weapons, such as the AK-47, to mow down the zombies that came in hordes. However, as time went by, the North Koreans realized that the zombies were getting smarter, and were adapting to their tactics. They could no longer rely on their sophisticated rifles and weapons and were forced to take more desperate measures. This is when they turned to their old tanks, such as the T-55 tank, which had been in service for nearly fifty years. The T-55 tank was an old Russian tank, which had been in service with the North Koreans since the early days of the Cold War. It was originally designed as a battle tank, but with years of use, it had been modified to suit the needs of the North Koreans. The tank had been fitted with new steel plates and was retrofitted with new technologies such as GPS tracking and night vision. The tank was powerful, with a 100-mm gun and a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun. It could travel at a top speed of 50 km/h on flat terrain, and its armored hull could withstand the most potent of zombie attacks. The tank was also equipped with a power-driven turret, giving it a panoramic view of the field. This made it an ideal weapon against the zombie uprising. The North Koreans deployed hundreds of T-55 tanks at the front lines, using them to secure the area and prevent the zombies from crossing into their territory. They also used other weapons, such as flamethrowers, mines, and incendiary devices, to create traps and slow down the zombie advance. The zombie apocalypse had reached its peak, and the rest of the world was in chaos. People were fighting for survival, and governments were collapsing. The only country that managed to survive the apocalypse was North Korea, and they did so with the help of their old tanks and weapons.
