CHAPTER 3πŸ‘€πŸ’«.

490 Words
Today is our matriculation program and I was in the school hall searching for a space to seat, since the hall is unusually full of people and it was difficult for me to get a comfortable to seat.I was just sitting down on a seat near the window when i felt a strong arm grip me and pulled me backwards,at first i was taken aback and scared but i summoned the courage to look back at the hand on my wrist ,only to realise it was kola who was pulling me to have a seat beside him. Sheepishly like a child who had just been offered some candy floss and cupcakes. I raised my brow asking him what he had come to do here since he said he had more important things to do than engage in the buroar thing as he would often call it. He touched his heart in mock hurt to which I rolled my eyes at him,he tried touching me but I shuff his his hands off me,I really want him to know how angry I was. Sensing my mood he chose to keep mute creating an awkward silence which last for thirty minutes before the ringing of my phone broke. It was tayo who was calling so I found this an opportunity to make him more uncomfortable by picking the call right in front of him, though the phone is not on speaker. Hello sweetheart, are you there I said smiling mischievously at my phone knowing what effect this would have on kola.Even if I was speaking with a girl kola couldn't stand me calling someone else sweetheart, I could see how he was red with temper as he steantingly snatched the phone off my hand staring at the screen to see whoever I was speaking with. That's when mum took it upon herself to enter the hall, what's going on? she asked staring between me and kola, nothing ma ,we answered in unison and that got my mum more suspicious. Anyway sha,its your cups of tea if you are not willing to tell me.even the lord of love "cupid" ,won't be angry with me if i should stop whatever it is that you both are doing to help me with the sharing the gifts. Kola and i joined mum in the packing and distributing the gifts, when tayo and ada joined us which make it easier. After the matriculation we all went home for the night party planned by mum for just family and friends, since mum is a barista and dad is a journalist which is one of the reasons why money was never a problem. Not that there aren't some times when things would be tough for everyone but there are just few of those times cus i could remember some of uor relatives talking of how had married a very tough woman. my mom is not that bad too much just that she is a no nonsense person.
